I know those amps are discouraging, but when you look at this chart overall, you are seeing some nice yellows and blues. Wish we could figure out why he goes up so much overnight.
Maybe this will help a little. l copied from a post in Lantus from Blue:
...but Tipper looks like he's just bouncing from the overnight numbers. It took Atlas almost 5 months to stop the severe bouncing...so all I can say is to have patience.
One day he suddenly just snapped and held and surfed and then surfed some more
and then it went into cycle #2, #3, #4...and then days...and then weeks.

I am pretty pleased with progress.
I can't figure out the higher AM readings.
Hubby checked him at 4a.m. which would have been 7 hours after PM shot and he was 169 0r 170? a few nights ago.
He most spike up after that. He usually has a meal around 3 or 4 a.m.
Sometimes if hes pesty hubby will give him food around 7 a.m. but that is 2 hours prior to testing.

Thanks for posting that Sue. It is a bit more encouraging.
Seems the key word is patience.
I guess some cats regulate quickly and some just have wonky numbers for unknown reasons and then suddenly can start getting better.

Well, if he is really food sensitive, you might hold off on the food 3-4 hours before the test. Just a trial for a few nights to see if that amps is influenced by food? Your hubby could give just a small snack? A nadir in the 160s at night is great.

Pretty good #'s and the info about the +7 a few nights ago is encouraging as it means Henry spends a good amount of time in the blues and spikes at the end. If you can, I would add that +7 number to your spreadsheet as it contributes to a better overall picture (i.e. longer time in the blues for Henry). Not easy...but...if DH is up sometimes, maybe see if he can test a later # like that again. So glad Henry is making progress.
