Good morning LL!

Clyde is having a nice start to the day at an 85. Right now he and Max have disappeared somewhere in the house.

I put in this morning a request to take a personal day at work. I opened a can of cat food and nearly lost it as I realized this would be last time I'm ever going to be able to do that for Max and this morning it was the last time I would ever wake up to him crying for his breakfast.

@Tiger and Ruth @Marje and Gracie @Vyktors Mum thank you for your prayers and support. If I can hold it together when I get back from the vet's tonight I am planning on posting something.

Since I'm staying home today with Max, I was able to get a +2 during the week. Clyde is at 58. I will check him again in 30 min or so.

Morning Will :coffee::coffee::coffee:

What a beautiful cycle in the works for Clyde. it is so nice when they can surf greens like that. Go Clyde!

I am sorry about Max. It is so very difficult when one knows one has to say goodbye. I believe that our kitties are grateful to us when we can see that it is time for them to go. I can still to this day see that moment when Mannie gave me his blessing, let me know it was OK and it was time, and he was happy. I know it will be the same for Max, as hard as it is for us beans. Hugs to you today. I too hope for a peaceful crossing. Be at peace Max.

@Amy&TrixieCat and @Michelle and Mannie (GA) thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Max is sitting in front of the sofa now about two feet away from me. I think he knows his time is coming. Over the years I had tried several times to make a paw print impression and was never successful until Saturday night. He would always squirm and try and get away. Saturday night he was cooperative and just let me do it as if he knew this was the last chance I would ever have to do this with him.

Clyde was at 57 for his +4, so it doesn't look like he's going to do a reduction this cycle. He's so close, I know he wants it. With everything going on I remembered to call in his insulin refill to the pharmacy.

My heart is breaking for you, Will. You are such a great dad to Max and Clyde. I'll be thinking of you three today.

I don't know if it will help you but when it was time for our GA Gussie, we spent the dsy doing his favorite things and then the vets came to our home that night. It was the two vets who had treated him and loved him, Gracie and Tobey, Mike and me. He was surrounded by pure, unconditional love in his own home. It was peaceful and while we all cried and cried, it was the best way to let him go. I felt like I could see light and warmth all around him as he crossed.

@Marje and Gracie thank you for keeping us in your thoughts. It means a lot. Max had been laying on top of the sofa most of the morning behind my head contently purring.

I did a +7 test with Clyde. I ended up testing him three times because the first test was lower then i expected and taking an average. His first test was 50, the second was 60, and the third was 58. It averaged out to 56. He looks like he is enjoying his time in the lagoon today.

(((((Will and Max and Clyde))) Big hugs- I've been thinking about you all night and will continue to pray for you! You're so wise to take this time off and it sounds like you are truly able to see this for what it really is!!! I am just crying right now reading about those paw prints, I have to sign off now!!!! You will be in our thoughts and prayers!!

Clyde is having a beautiful cycle today.

Sending vines for a wonderful day with Max and a peaceful crossing. :bighug::bighug:
