Squeaky is doing better this morning. Logically I attribute this to the B12 shot as that was the obvious variable. Thanks @THH & Snowcrash (GA)!!!!! We are now on TR and I hope we can get his numbers down and stable again.

I see it was suggested you do a modified SLGS. Instead I would do a modified TR if it’s too much for you once he’s regulated again. We talked about this before. Take deductions at 70 or whatever you choose and hold doses longer to keep hm in a safe range for both of you. Just my two cents FWIW.

If he doesn’t start to feel better soon doesn’t your vet him someone to fill in for her while on vacation?

Vet nurse is suggesting a phone consult before the vacation starts. We can discuss B12 shots, Ondansetron for nausea instead of cerenia or maybe with it. Fluids. Yes there is a backup vet.

So after he is regulated, can't I just switch back to SLGS again? We did really well at that. Because my own health is really shaky at the moment, I'm afraid if I try to do something different than what others are doing, they won't be able to advise me on days when my brain isn't working. Right now on the days I get mixed up, I'm doing all right following people's advice step by step.

Unless you come up with a specific plan for us, and we post it somewhere for others to help me follow it. I liked SLGS because I was able to get more sleep that way. TR was too demanding on me, and scary because it seemed his numbers could easily go lower than 50. Thank you again for your kindness.

Thanks for the messages everyone!!!! So I'm giving him 75 ml of fluids daily. He seems pretty hydrated but I am going to follow the instruction that he needs to have 3 good days in a row before I stop doing that. Am I on track?
