Good Morning, Everyone,
Well, it could be a better morning here! First, judging from his AMPS number, it seems that I did indeed give a fur shot at PMPS last night. Second, when I gave Rusty his shot this morning I found skin and got the shot in, but he meowed loudly and pulled back. I think I must have hit a nerve or something. (It is not uncommon for him to meow when he gets his shot; apparently he also meowed when he lived with Phoebe and Charlie, but he has never pulled back before.) Anyway, he glommed down his breakfast and then proceeded to vomit some of it! I don't know if this was simple scarf & barf, or if it was caused by the shot going into the wrong place in his body, or if it was caused by the L-Lysine that I gave him yesterday (although he was fine with the L-Lysine all day and evening yesterday). Anyway, it was disheartening. Rusty seems to be OK, but didn't want to play. He is now sitting on the radiator, and he ate some more of his breakfast. I didn't give L-Lysine today. He has stopped sneezing in any event (he always sounds a bit congested; I think it is his "norm").
I'm in the process of activating the "Tekni-ice" for the cooler case. Later I'm going to test Rusty's new FreeStyle Lite meter on myself and do a comparison with the ReliOn. But I'm going to stick with the ReliOn for Rusty today, because I don't want to throw another variable into the already complicated mix!
Everyone have a good day. Our thoughts are with Roni as she takes Copper to the vet--positive thoughts! Also, healing vines and positive thoughts for all our ailing kitties.
