3/15 Hershey

You KNOW he'll be thrilled to see you! We just got up - YIKES!!! Guess the party animal in me stayed out too late searching for the elusive Mr. P!

I started a post earlier for Hershey. He decided not to eat last night, so I held the shot. Food was still there at 6:30 am. Tested, fed & shot then - so now his schedule is WAY off!

Hershey has enjoyed his visit at Camp Lu, and some of the fellow campers have especially enjoyed his presence. At least two of them, Grayson and Paulo, have made themselves comfy in his carrier, which was always left open. Paulo said to tell you "Don't come lookin' for the catnip ball!" :lol: (he's currently wallering all around inside the carrier!)

I don't expect the surprise +7 numbers I had yesterday! Guess after the lows, the higher carb food, and the longer cycles, this is what happens. Either that, or he's trying to sync his numbers with Grayson's! Either way, he seems very happy, and is currently enjoying his mid-day meal. He tried to watch the birdies at the feeder, but I guess the dogs on the adjacent porch probably kept them away. Dogs are in, so after the meal is complete, he'll probably find his way back to that window!

I hope he'll come to visit again. He's been an awesome camper!
 
I thought you said you were shooting .3u at 1:30 this morning...trying to update his SS a little...so, you didn't shoot then?
 
I tried to. But I wouldn't dare shoot him on an empty stomach - particularly when I didn't know if he'd eat after I shot him. So I stayed up w/ him for almost 2 more hours and he didn't touch the food. Given that he had barely reached the shooting threshold, I figured this was the safest thing to do. When I saw the full bowl at 6:30 am, I knew it was the right choice.

He did, however, eat the fresh food after I tested him at 6:44.
 
You're right - you couldn't shoot on an empty stomach. I just need to make sure to update his SS..

Anyhoo - Doug said we'd be on the road 2 - 2:30pm, but it's 3:36pm and we've just cleaned up from lunch. Finishing up loading and we'll be off...
 
Sounds good. If you want to give a call when you get closer (Maybe I-40 or so?) I'll know when to expect you.

We'll be out around the bonfire singing the limbo song and roasting marshmellows! :lol:

Glad to be home and unpacked (Wish I could say I also have the laundry done :YMSIGH: ) - Hershey and Oreo aren't getting along right now, each thinks the other smells funny, I think. Oreo really does...have never had a cat smell like that...baths tomorrow!
