I don't know what happened!!! He hasn't been this high since I started home testing. I waited and tested him again to make sure it wasn't an incorrect reading and he was still in the 400s. I gave him a whole unit to try to bring him back down today. I'm so confused. The only thing I can think of that May have caused this is that a) I was two hora late giving him his dose and/or b) while I was gone my family let him upstairs and forgot to put the dry cat food away and he ate that last night.

Re: 3/15/14 Jose AMPS 415 :(

I am going to guess the dry food. (yes, it can make that much of a difference). Can you share with your family what an awful change this makes in a regime you have worked very hard for, and which has been working so well? It may take a cycle to get him back, but paws crossed that you will be seeing his lovely numbers again soon.

I will talk to them. I'm thinking it may have been my brother. He said he feels bad when Jose is upstairs crying and staring at where he knows the food is hidden. He most likely caved and let him eat some. The rest of my family is usually pretty good about keeping the dry food up when Jose is around. I've tried to convince them to feed only canned but they're still going with the cheaper route unfortunately.
