Do I stall or shoot? I might be able to get here to test around +4, but I'm not 100% sure.

If you don't get any more experienced advice to say otherwise I would be inclined to skip on a falling number like this if you are unable to monitor.

ETA: check out Vyktor's ss for the last two nights when I shot falling numbers to see why...

Hi Amy. I have to log off, to go to work now, but that 126 and 124 are pretty much the same number, and it looks to me like she is surfing nicely. If it make you feel better, you could leave out extra food today. Sometimes, when I am worried, I leave out extra food, and put little bowls of it all over the house where I think my cat hangs out during the day.
Also, if you could get home for the +4, that would give you peace of mind.
I would get a test about 30 minutes before you leave for the day and post the number, for advice. And then depending upon that number, I would get another one right as I left the house.
If you are really concerned, you can always leave out some higher carb food for her, like a little MC. hugs.

On PZI, I'd shoot. I'm just not that used to the Lantus yet.

The husband will be around to watch her, just not test. I only live about 15 minutes from the office so if it seems like she's wonky he can get some food into her and I'll rush home.

I leave the house in about an hour and 15 minutes. I can shoot now, test in 30 and then test in another 30.

ETA: She does get a little bounce from the food.

I went ahead and shot. I will get the husband to make sure she eats something around +4 if I can't make it home.
I didn't want to loose the little momentum we gained last night by not shooting.

Dyana has a lot more experience than I do so I'm sure that's the right call. Glad hubby will be home to keep an eye on her - maybe he can practice testing while you're out!!

Its right around her normal snack time, so I asked the husband to make sure she eats something.
She was a happy cat this morning, tossing toys around for the first time in a few days. I like that.

Can wonky room temperatures effect her? Its stupidly hot here. Right now its 83 degrees in our living room.

I've never heard of ambient temp affecting BG's- my guess would be Ruby is seeing a bounce because her liver panicked over those pretty blues...

Yes, nice shooting this morning, Amy. I'm glad you shot when you did and didn't stall or BCS.
She'll get over the bounce. And now you and Ruby can take a night off (or at least part of a night off) from testing. I know it's not much compromise, but that's the way I try to think of it with my bouncy boy.

I'm sure it wasn't a fur shot tonight. I just don't understand these numbers. I've tested on two meters and the numbers are close enough to be counted the same.
I've tested both of them with the control solution as well and they're well within range.

She's really hungry tonight and it looks like she's start losing weight. She needs to lose weight but I don't know how to tell if its good weight loss due to the lower carb food
or if its because she's so unregulated.
