Morning ~O) Maggie is a little high, most likely from eating too close to the +10, as I remove the fuds two hours before pre-shot. She had some Wellness Turkey overnight as her entree, not the best insofar as phosphorus, but it's her favorite.
Some good news for Detective Poo's report. :-D Mags left some softie prezzies last night. I'm still working on getting the right dose of Miralax. I think I overdo just a tad, worrying that she might get blocked again like the last time, so better a little soft than the opposite. It's never liquipoo and has form. I've been syringing some water after each dose of Miralax, and Mags also gets 100 ml fluids daily for her CKD. She doesn't like too much water added to her food and seems to enjoy the water via syringe. I think I'll start shopping for a water fountain. I'd value any recommendations

I need to drop my car off early for some routine maintenance and finally get the A/C repaired! We're getting 80 degrees weather this week, and getting in a hot car with funky A/C that runs hot at first when I turn on, then barely cool is almost unbearable. One of the employees always gives me a ride home which makes it nice. I hope they don't find too many other things wrong. My car just had a birthday last month, and it's getting up there in age.

Thanks Josie, Carla, and Roni & Moonie for your visits after I logged off. Roni, it is always so nice hearing from you. Yes, we can teach old kitties new tricks!

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183

Yay for prezzies! I'm with you...little soft is way better than none at all, as long as Mags isn't uncomfortable with that, either. She still using her stairs?

Not a bad start...she's running neck and neck with Trix's amps!

Good luck with your car. I cannot wait for the 80 degree weather to start around here!

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)

Hooray for blue starts! It looks like Maggie had a great day yesterday - I see some green in there too. Maybe repeat today Miss Maggie? I am impressed that Maggie likes the water via syringe - how nice! Sure would be easier for Mannie if he felt the same way. Silly boy. No water fountain recommendations. I had one years ago, and that worked well. BJ used it, the others didn't it. I'm not too sure why I stopped using it. ??

YAY! We had prezzies! I'm with you: better a little soft than not at all. I think you've done a great job Managing all of Maggie's needs. Continued Poo vines.

Good luck with your car. I hope that goes well. Mine is an older one too, and I always hope that they don't "find something" when I take it in.

80? NICE~ We are still cool, in the 50's: probably will be like that for a while yet.

Have a great day today. :-D

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95

seems to enjoy the water via syringe.
Wow! That's great!

Good luck on the car ~ car repairs always make me so nailbite_smile .

Do you add a phosphorus binder to Maggie's food?

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95

yay for prezzies!! Good job Maggie. I would definitely go on the heavier side for the Miralmax as well. Nice greens this morning.

Good luck with the car maintenance. Never fun but needed. It will be hot before you know it. Have a wonderful day Ann!

Mags is ready for the Green Lagoon. I guess the overnight fuds empties and the juice kicks in as for the usual drop!

Hi Amy, thanks on the prezzies. The experiment per the Vet seems to be working with the increase of Miralax and decrease of Lactulose, slowly. Yes, :-D Mags is still using the stairs. I awoke on time to find Mags sleeping next to me on my pillow. When going to bed, she was asleep on the footstool recliner. So she got up on the bed without waking me! :-D

Hi Michelle, looks like little Mags listened and is doing a repeat of yesterday. Thanks on managing the prezzies. It's been a challenge, and she's so patient with me. Mags does like the water via syringe, especially when she senses it isn't the Lactulose. Yes, 80 yesterday, a bit too hot, but no complaints when I see weather across the country. I hope they don't find too many things wrong. Last time they said I did have some oil leaks.

Hi Josie, thanks on Mags and the car. You asked me yesterday if Mags minded the Evo mixed with Cowboy Cookout. She seems to dislike her fuds when I mix it in together, so I've tried adding the Evo as a topping to the Cowboy Cookout. I dunno how that's going to work though! Unfortunately I can't take a chance on the phosphorus binders. There's a paragraph in the Kitty Constipation website that says that one side effect of the phosphorus binders is constipation. I have it bookmarked. I'll send it when I return.

Hi Melisssa, thanks and I think so, too, on the Miralax, as long as it isn't runny poo. She did a good job this morning. Thanks on the car. I was so hoping we would have some nice cool, wintry weather, but weather seems all mixed up across the country.

Awwwww...that is SO sweet!

Detective Poo here. Excellent report this morning! Prezzies, lagoon action AND using the stairs! Woohoo, Mags! :-D :-D :-D Paws crossed on the car repair. Happy Fursday, Ann!

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95

Hello Ann. Glad that Maggie made the slide down to the Lagoon this morning. Looks like some surfing scheduled for today.

Glad that Detective Poo paid you a visit. Hope she is using her steps.

Have a great day.

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95

   So cool to wake up w/ Mags next to you on the pillow! And even better that you didn't get woken up!

Good luck w/ the car. We've given up on the AC in our old land Rover! Unfortunately that is what we like to take to the desert!

It looks like Mags had a few hours in the Green Lagoon, just like clock work coming up at the +6!

Thanks Amy, it sure is nice she's using the steps.

Hi Detective Poo, I thought you would be pleased as this is an every other day poo! And Green Lagoon, too!
Thanks Liz on the paws crossed for the car.

Hi John and thanks for your visit. Mags is using the steps. A couple times she went over to the other side of the bed and asked for help up on the bed, but I picked her up and placed her on the other side by the steps and up she went, so success! :-D

Hi Ann & Tess, yes, it's so cool to be able to sleep thru the night and have her next to me when awaking. Yowl on the no a/c for trips to the desert. It's a different heat, dry, maybe makes a difference. Lately our summers are humid here.

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95; +6 109

Hi Ann & Maggie,

Good WCR this morning, Maggie. Nice to see that you are now accustomed to your stairs, that you gave your mamabean some prezzies, and that you enjoyed a mid-morning dip in the lagoon. Did you see Rusty while you were there? He's way up on the beach, but watching.

Hope that your car's a/c is now working just great and that nothing else required big $$. The a/c on my former car went just before I was about to trade it in. But I got it fixed anyway because I wanted a good trade-in. It was the compressor (and on my 'fridge it was also the compressor).

Have a great day. It sure is warm where you are! Here today it is 15 degrees at 2 P.M.!!

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95; +6 109

Hi Ann!
Yay!! Prezzies!! It sounds like you pretty much have Maggie's dose dialed in. Congrats!
I hope they didn't find anything $$ wrong with your car... Hope the a/c was just freon!!
We have 3 Petmate fountains. All the boys love them. They are easy to take apart and clean and run nice and quiet. I bought one brand spank me new.. the other 2 were from the thrift store. Seems people drop them off because they stop working.. they stop working because the motor intake gets clogged with cat hair.. clean out the cat hair.. scrub it up ... works perfectly.
have a great day.. hugs to little Miss Maggie and you. mary and ollie

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95; +6 109

Hi Ann. How sweet to wake up with Miss Maggie on your bed with you. It's so nice that she uses the steps now....if she's on the correct side of the bed. :-D
You're doing a great job with her and the constipation. I haven't figured out the correct dose for Tux yet. I need to give more, but afraid to give him cramps. I'm such a sissy.

I've been using the Drinkwell fountain, but it's a pain to clean, for me. Checkers likes clean, cold, running water, and I would have to change it several times a day.....he washes his feet in it, as well as drops food from his mouth.

I just purchased the Platinum Drinkwell, which is nicer, because it has a prefilter before the gunk gets sucked into the pump area.
http://www.amazon.com/Drinkwell-Platinu ... B000L3XYZ4

It's way bigger than I thought....I might give it to Susan for her 3 cats. They don't care if their water is warm.
The point of having two is so one can be in use, while the other's in the dishwasher.....or dirty

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95; +6 109; PMPS 124

PMPS 124
Maggie sweetie had a really nice day. Her PMPS is lower because she had fluids earlier I'm guessing.
I don't have my car back yet. I had a feeling something was wrong, as it just wasn't running right. The A/C needs a new fan and the compressor in it may still be under warrant. I was overdue on four tires, and it also has two fuel injectors leaking, which explains partly why I'm always filling up.

Hi Ella, thanks on Mags; she has been a good girl using the stairs! Yes, Mags told me she did see Rusty on the beach and enjoying the view.

Hi Mary, I hope this will be the dose that will help keep Mags regular. Thanks on your recommendation of the PetMate fountain. I wonder if it would take Mags some getting used to it.

Hi Barb, I hope you can get a good dose on Tux. Yes, sometimes Mags goes on the other side, making me think she's forgetting the other side has the steps. Thanks on your recommendation of the fountain. Oh how funny with Checkers washing his feet in the fountain. like a footbath.

Re: 3/14 Maggie AMPS 183; +3 95; +6 109; PMPS 124

It looks like Maggie had a nice surf today. That's great she's still using the stairs.

Hi Ann - what a sweet story with Maggie in bed :: smile :: Those are always nice times and stories.

Molly loves her Drinkwell Platinum - it's the same one that Barb gave the link for. It has a little tab that collects the fur before it gets to the pump and there is also a little strainer area on the pump itself. Leo drinks from the "pool" area and Molly licks right from the waterfall. It is so cute! If you get this one, I would recommend also getting the 3-brush cleaning set. They are perfectly shaped to get in the holes for cleaning. Everything can go in the dishwater (except the pump) but sometimes I just clean it by hand.

Do some nice surfing Miss Mags!
