Yesterday was crazy, Kona was acting kind of funny when I got home from work and wouldn't eat her dinner. I tried a few options then she ate most of her dinner.

Her PMPS was already lower at 69, but then her numbers started to drop into the 50s. She was refusing to eat her snacks so I could raise her BG, so I went into panic mode. I gave her karo to the gums when she hit 45. Then gave transdermal Mirataz to her ear and 8mg of Cerenia. I'm soooo lucky I have these on hand. Absolute lifesaver. After they kicked in she started to eat her 20% snacks so I kept her in the 50s.

At around 1am, I set up the automatic feeder of more snacks to keep her up, but she didn't eat them after checking this morning. I took a reading at 4am and she was at 113, so hopefully she didn't even need the snacks.

This morning she ate her breakfast and appears to be bouncing from the lower numbers last cycle.

I'm correlating this issue to the food she ate all day long yesterday, TruLuxe Glam N' Punk. Which I rarely feed and I believe caused a similar issue that landed us in the ER Vet back on 2/8-2/15. Notes in my spreadsheet.

Working from home today, I'm too tired to be around people in the office.

I think this is going to be another 3-5 days for this to clear up and for her to get better based on the last time.

Today's Summary:
6:21am - BG 221
6:23am - Fed 1 can of TruLuxe On the Cat Wok (3.8%)
6:36am - Shot 1.25U

That's so scary, Jason. I am sorry you both went through all that. Can you just ditch that food since it seems to cause a problem which you don't need?
So glad you had the meds on hand and they worked!
Wishing you a quick recovery from this strange bout. Great job and level headed thinking!!

Hi Jason,
Poor Kona - her tummy wasn't feeling well last night.
Hope no more softies in the litter box?
Glad she came back up - a bit of bounce right now but I'm sure she'll clear it soon.

Hope things are quieter and more peaceful today! :bighug:

I read yesterday's thread. That was quite the drama. Very interesting observations about the fat content and kudos for good note taking. I guess that just furthers the sage advice of "know thy cat."

Glad she's doing better after last night's issues.
