I just couldn't stay up for a +6, but I did wake up once and got a +9 281 on her.....I'll try again tonight. And I've moved her shot time 15 minutes so I should be able to feed them when I get in the door and then have two hours before the PM shot so the spreadsheet will have proper +12s again.

Chicken and Tuna this morning doesn't seem to have gone over as well - but then again, fish is an alien concept to my furkids....we have them In a tank to be observed and perhaps batted at occasionally through the glass - but I wasn't too keen on letting them know fish could be tasty treats .

I know its not recommended to feed it often, and judging from their reaction - I won't be

Looking good this morning.

Em, my 3's tastes change daily. Sometimes hourly :lol: What they love one time, they wont touch the next and vice versa. Don't give up on a flavor, they will like it at some point. :lol:

Mine refused to eat chicken, period, but last night and this morning, they charged right into Liver and Chicken! A month ago, they wouldn't touch chicken in anything, even people chicken.

A few weeks ago, Lucian's absolute favorite was Mixed Grill, now he tries to bury it, won't touch it.

When I buy food, I get a couple cans of everything that is low carb and put the ones I think they aren't fond of right this minute, in the back of the cabinet, cause I know they'll eat it at some point when I least expect it. :lol:

I know there is a big thing about not feeding fish too often, but the way I see it personally, fish is better than not eating at all. Mine eat it every couple-3 days, just because there isn't enough variety without it. Even still, they won't eat Salmon. For now that is. :lol: Next month it may be the only one they'll eat. :lol:

You're doing good and Jez is coming down , which is a good sign. :thumbup

Eventually if mine get hungry enough they will eat anything.......but I am happier if they go for it immediately - then I don't worry about whether or not she's eaten enough for the shot. If yours won't eat salmon I think I'll skip trying that one....I think I remember it being kind of a bright pink color compared to the other stuff. As for fish, I think all the Friskies has some fish in it, so I'm kinda stuck.

I think Jez is probably (hopefully) just taking a bit longer to get settled in. I do need to catch more night numbers to make sure she's not bouncing - but I have a feeling she's just one of those diabetics with higher morning numbers.....although every morning I find a half dozen toys brought upstairs from the toy basket so perhaps there's late night kitty games raising her sugar...I understand sometimes strenuous exercise can do that. But I am not going to complain cause all in all I have things easy - Lucians numbers are definitely an adventure.

Hey at least her preshots are starting to come down and if you look at what numbers you did get last night there is a good chance she was still dropping this morning at preshot, since her +9 was still higher than her amps today which at least to me suggests that she is still settling in on her new dose. And last night's pmps, was lower than her amps. If she keeps up with this pattern then those preshots should keep lowering. Also with as much as you have to be away from her we don't want her dropping too far too fast and want her to stay in good numbers that are also safe for her while you can't be with her.

Thanks for the pep talk Mel. I'm doing my best to be patient and yeah - I definitely don't want to see her getting into trouble while I'm not around to monitor the situation. If there's no short term issue with her preshot numbers being where they are.....I'd just as soon leave her where she is at least through the weekend - when I can get some nadirs.

I got out of work on time (for once) and it looks as if the furchildren eventually decided chicken and tuna was acceptable because it was all gone (including the half can I put out frozen for a snack).

They were also thrilled to have their minion put food down as soon as she returned to the castle after a long day of toil.

However, their highnesses were not pleased with the selection of Poultry Platter and so I eventually had to replace it with Liver and Chicken which appears to be more to their liking.

I suspect they've been reading this board and have decided to prove me wrong when I said they'd eat anything.

But I shall prevail - I've mixed the undesirable Poultry Platter with water and frozen it for tomorrows afternoon snack.........
