OK, we’ll call yesterday NDW. It’s interesting that the .5 unit increases generally increase Weezer’s daily average BG by about 20 points; yesterday’s one unit increase raised it closer to 40 points. But unlike when she was on Lantus, this time she has come back down within 24 hours.
Yesterday saw the return of a special kind of play we haven’t seen (actually, heard would be more accurate) in quite some time. Weezer has several beanie babies that she used to carry around. Occasionally, when she thought she was alone she would talk to them. I don’t know what she would tell them, but it was the most mournful sound imaginable. The first time I heard it I was outside and came running in to see what the matter was. As soon as she saw me, she dropped her baby and walked away with a “What? That wasn’t me.” look. That is what she always does when caught in the act, like she’s embarrassed. But she hasn’t done it for months, until yesterday. Still sounds mournful, still makes me smile.
I think I’m actually getting over the flu. I’ve been down and out for a week, but I think I’ll live.
Wishing a kitty day for all, plenty of purrs, play, sunny spots and lots of love.
