I woke up to 2 different spots of puke. One was in the living room on the rug (somehow her favorite spot to throw up) and one was on the hard floor in front of her food bowl. I assume it was Tessa and not her sister since the puke was the same color and consistency in both spots and one was in front of Tessa's bowl. Her sister doesn't dare eat of Tessa's bowl so it seems like that spot would have come from Tessa.

I don't know if Tessa scarfed and barfed or what. That's what I'm leaning towards since both spots seemed like an entire meal's worth and one was in front of the bowl. I'll keep an eye on her today. Hopefully this was a one time thing.

Poor Tessa. I hope it was just a scarf and barf.

Happy Day 2! :):)

So far I haven't heard her puke or seen any puke yet after her first meal so I am hoping scarf and barf is what happened. Her meals are pretty small (currently feeding 1/3 of a Fancy Feast can per meal) so I wonder if she didn't eat the +6 meal right away (the feeder doesn't make much noise when it opens) and then ate the +6 and +9 meals together and puked it all up. I'm sure I could find a way to make the timed feeder make noise so she knows to go eat.

Great to hear no more puke so far. Sounds like it might have been a scarf and barf.
Keep us posted :cat:

She just ate again an hour ago and no more puke! I'm feeling like scarf and barf is the most likely scenario.

And the autofeeder closes so that she can't eat the +9 meal later in the cycle?

It doesn't close, it's one with side by side meal compartments - Cat Mate C200. So if she didn't hear the +6 but came for the +9 she could eat both meals at the same time.

I'm thinking about getting the Cat Mate C300 but they don't sell a stainless steel carousel for it. I think these little stainless steel bowls might fit in the compartments though: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KW8R12W?tag=felinediabetesfdmb-20

I was wondering if her PS could be elevated if she eats the +9 meal at +10 or +11.

I think she ate the AM +9 a smidge late yesterday but probably not an hour or more late. I might just manually feed her +9 meal during the day instead of relying on the timed feeder that isn't very well timed anyway. That's when I get off work (and I work from home) most of the week so I can just make it my routine to clock out and feed her, no big deal.

As long as she stays in green - even high greens - it's no problem. If she starts seeing blue preshots, you want to ensure that is not food influenced. The stray low blue preshot (below 110) does pop-up in OTJ trials and is not a worry unless they're too frequent.
