Yesterday's indoor waterfall and furshot fiasco.

Ripley is doing great this morning. All important Ps in place!

:?: After the furshot/partial last night I was planning on starting her cycle count over; but based on her amps this morning, should I go ahead and increase this evening? (Didn't want to do so this morning, as I can't monitor her during the workday.)

Morning Josie, oh my what a waterfall and fiasco yesterday! For a furshot, that's not a bad AMPS at all. One of the wise ones should be along to advise. With that AMPS, I would be surprises with some greens. Have a nice day.

If it was a fur shot, the count starts over. So, it's your call since it's hard to know if it was a fur shot. It may also be that the depot carried Ripley through last night and into this morning. If you gave a fur shot, you may see the effect this cycle. I'd wait to see what your PMPS looks like and then decide.

...But I'm a little confused; there's no way of knowing if her numbers are looking good due to the depot kicking in or if I DID get enough insulin in her last night after all...
:?: So should I take the increase anyway tonight? What kind of pmps range am I looking for to help me decide?

3/13 Ripley PMPS 175, +2 169, +3 107

Went ahead and had DH shoot an increase, 1.75u. (I was able to join dinner w/family.) I just returned home and gave Ripley her fluids, along with the last half of her dinner, so the +3 test will likely show a food-spike. But I'll alarm-test her later; I'm unable to test during most of the day, so night-testing during the week is the best way (only way, actually) for me to catch any lows/nadir.

Today's recap:
AMPS 127 (2.5oz food)
+9 79
+11.5 150
PMPS 175 (1.75oz food)
+2 169
(+2.5: fluids and 1.75oz food)

ETA: No food spike at +3. Gonna get a +4 test...

Josie, may I know how much water you are giving Ripley? Is it for treating the CKD? You are feeding her with a syringe or adding the water to her food?

I add approx. 5-6 T. of water to her food twice a day, due to the Miralax dose. And each day she gets 100ml of sub-q fluids for her CKD.
