Happy Weekend, Everyone,

We started out 1/2 hour early because of getting ready for the time change to DST and of course the first "event" of the day was a fur shot! It didn't seem like one, but I smelled Lev. on Rusty's fur and on my fingers. Maybe some got in. I think it might have been a straight through the tent kind of shot. So after breakfast (Wellness Turkey) and a play with Red Ears, I went btb. Tired, because I listened all night for the alarm to ring so I wouldn't miss it! At some point Rusty hopped up on the couch and kept me company until he decided that it was time for 2nd sitting of breakfast.
Off now to water the plants. It's snowing again--just at the freezing point and expected to change to sleet and rain. We're still under a flood watch. Our street is OK: it's halfway down a hill. The ground is still very frozen, so we won't have to worry about wet basement for a while yet!

p.s. thanks to everyone who contributed to the Fancy Feast conversation. It seems as if lots of cats get higher bgs with the supposedly low carb varieties of Fancy Feast. Laurie (Mr.Tinkles) uses LC FF to mix with "real" LC food to keep Mr T. from diving. See her post at the end of my yesterday's condo.

Hi Ella, sorry about the fur shot; maybe some still got into Rusty. Wow, I wonder when is your weather ever going to break? I have a feeling we are in for a very hot summer, as weather here has been too nice for a winter. Rusty is looking good, and it's so cute he loves to play.

Rusty maintains good #s & I am sure he will get right back on track.. I agree the weather you are having needs to give you a break ohmygod_smile

Good morning guys ... That's a bummer on the furshot but hopefully he got some in and you will still see some action today .. Sounds like a good day to stay inside .. snow, sleet, rain? yeah, a good day to stay inside indeed! Have a great day guys!

nice on the snow, sorry for the pending rain... it is raining here too - I had hoped to get my walk in before the heavy stuff started, but missed my window of opportunity - I was too busy ordering new meters :lol: :lol: well maybe it will let up this afternoon so I can get out. Skiing and snowshoeing done for you guys now, or?

Hi Ella,

Hate those fur shots. But I can understand from one longhaird shooter to another. :smile: I hope you do get a break on your weather soon. Signs of spring are finally around here. The thing about living were its not always warm is that when spring finally comes we really appreciate it. :-D

Sorry about the fur shot and the SNOW...more snow??? Yikes!!! You need an AZ vacation and maybe Edward can do some baking while he's here :lol:

Rusty...we're all ready for chillaxin' by the pool. It's warm and sunny here and Mom's got snacks for us!!

Ow, sorry about the furshot, but the cycle is almost over! You get another chance. :-D Rusty is such a good boy her will come right down.

At least he didn't go any higher before his PMPS. Shot got in!! Hooray!! Now we can concentrate on getting back to "normal"

Glad to see that Rusty didn't lose too much ground on the furshot... Willie seems to be coming down too. Hope the weather conditions there aren't too bad tonight!

Darn them furshots! I wish I knew the secret to avoiding them completely too.
I'm glad the weather is giving you a bit of a break also.

Sorry about the fur shot. Hope you get up to the nicer Rusty numbers. Good luck with the weather. Hope you don't have too much flooding. Guess mud is next when all that snow starts to melt and the ground defrosts. UGH. I remember how that was. Have a good night. Hope you sleep well tonight.
