CHUCK IT, CHUCK IT, CHUCK IT!!!!!Good morning Staci,
Ivy's had several awesome cycles in a row! Really good to see her getting down to the beach every day!
I know what you mean to feel tired - it may be the time change thing too. Takes a few days to adjust. They should really chuck it!
I hear that more car accidents happen because of this but also more heart attack and stroke at the time change - I guess the biorhythm gets messed up.
Sending you some caffeinated energy
Happy Tuesday to you and Ivy! Wishing you a calm and healing day!![]()
Hi Kit, I know what you mean about the time change. I’ve heard the same statistics. It really causes so many issues. Hate going through this 2X a year.Good morning Staci,

I know, Christine. Thanks and hope we all recover from this extra hour of sleep deprivation soonHope Ivy clears the bounce soon; time for more coffee for me too! Between the hour and Jack's overnight parties, I'm toast!

Thanks, Cecile. She is looking better. Proud of her. Just hope as she gets lower bgs she gets more tolerance to ear poking. Have a dayI hope you get a good day, Staci! Ivy had several great cycles, her numbers are so good now! It's amazing how she improved, you must be so proud of yourself![]()

So yes you need a dedicated phone that stays at home and within 33 feet of Purrl. (I am constantly moving the phone around the house to be near where Ivy is settled for a period of time. So it’s a bit of a challenge, but we make it work). If I leave the house, I make sure she’s in one room or area where she’s going to be within range of the phone. If I have to put her in a particular room while I’m out so that I can monitor her from being out so be it. What I did was buy an older iPhone from eBay, just make sure if you do something like that, You make sure it’s compatible with the Libre 3 sensor. On the Abbott website you can find what phones will work with the Libre 3.Staci, I have a question about the libre3. I know from your postings that you need a phone near Ivy, and then those messages get sent to your phone? Is that how it works?
If my understanding is correct, how close does the "cat phone" need to be? I'm thinking in the house, correct? I can't guarantee where in the house Purrl might be at any particular time. Our wifi and cell service covers it all though. So husband (retired) could leave phone home to monitor, and I'd be able to see on mine if we were both out at the same time?
I've not made up my mind about a libre, but we have another vet appt. on Thurs. and he had mentioned he'd go that route if I wanted to. Just trying to think ahead. Thanks!

I am not a fan of DST either, still kinda dragging but nobody else in my state apparently wants to pass laws to do away with it or at least keep it one day and no more switching around.

(You don’t need Service on the phone so you’re not paying that charge. You just need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.)
You won’t want to use your husband‘s phone because there are times he’s going to want to be out of house with his phone. The “reader” phone needs to stay with the cat 24/7 for you to get readings on the LibreLink app, which you will put on your phone (and husbands if he wants it as well) as well and that’s how you will receive the readings.
You will also have the Libre 3 app on the cat’s phone, that’s what does the sensor readings.
If you have any more questions, I’m happy to help and be sure to check out the Freestyle Libre for Dogs and Cats Facebook page if you’re going to use the Libre. They have tons of information about how to use it, apply it, etc. That’s really where I learned so much.![]()

I appreciate the info. Lots to consider!@JLS12
Hi! I use the libre3 too and am currently trying to find Oliver his own cell phone so we can have readings sent to our phones while not at home. Phone needs to be withing 33 feet (I try and keep it closer then that). Best thing about it is it will alarm me when he drops below 60. The Facebook page Staci mentioned is where I learned a lot about it. Oliver wears a shirt when we are sleeping and not at home. He doesn't mess with it much anyways.
