Yesterday...

No R this morning! I hope I don't end up regretting that decision... but my primary goal was to get him under 300 for at least part of the daytime cycle, and we finally achieved that yesterday. I'll try giving R to keep it under 300 when I start seeing more yellow AMPS values.

This is the 3rd cycle on 8 units and the 3rd day of feeding QID instead of Q12H.

I gave his PM dose 30 minutes early in preparation for the daylight savings time change, but forgot to set my alarm back half an hour and gave today's dose at the usual time (+12.5 from the last one) :banghead:.

What a lovely AMPS!

I would have withheld R as well.
He has had a great run of yellow. If his counter-regulatory systems protest (which may happen) you can use the R to keep a lid on it.

Thank goodness for yellow! I remember thinking the same thing when Neko's tumor was pulsing. But it's progress. :)

I found feeling multiple smaller meals easier on the cats and the humans in the house.

Now that I've seen what happens when I skip the R for a yellow AMPS, I'll see if the same thing happens the next time we start the day under 300. If he rises steadily until PMPS a second time, I'll start giving R to keep him under 300, starting with 0.5 units. He'll be getting his PM dose an hour early since I forgot to set my clock forward and gave the AM dose at what used to be 0700. Ready and able to monitor for as long as necessary.
