good morning, everyone!

Binks had a very nice day yesterday, a decent night last night...and is starting off the day paddling around the green lagoon. :mrgreen:

we had an encouraging day with my sister and the Tortie Girls...
they are understandably confused about her situation, but i was able to leverage Smudge's jealousy of Binks to get her to brave the intimidation of the wheelchair.
She couldn't stand watching him on Tam's lap with both of us petting him, so she finally had to intervene.
She cuddled with Tam for almost 2 hours throughout the evening! big step.
Annie was too skittish to hang around much, but she did allow a few pettins :smile:
I also got Tam to have a heart to heart chat with Smudge about ignoring Binks and dropping the continual defensive behavior that
encourages him to attack her...and to keep her nose in her own food dish.
we'll have to report back on the results, cuz we were all so worn out from the day we crashed the minute i got back home.

Sending out the strongest healing energy we can for Butthead, Tori, Copper, Rocket, and any other ailing kitties and beans...
and a big squeal of excitement for Mocha Jo Latte.

and if you want a mental image that might bring a smile to your face...
picture me in my ankle to thigh leg brace pushing Tam's wheelchair...it's a hoot! :lol:

What a great day for you and your sister - it probably meant alot to her. We are all waiting to hear if the "heart to heart" worked on smudge. :-D paws crossed!

And exception numbers for Binks! Dude - you have set the bar. Could you please teach Mannie?

Beautiful day for all of you yesterday. :-D :-D :-D Poor little Annie, I hope she gains confidence and gets her share of the love soon. It reminds me of Tess when we first got her.

Great cycles for Binks lately. I'm sure that yesterday's time with the cats was really special to Tam. And you are special for doing these things for her...it goes past just caring for her; it's that extra special touch of things like this. Have a great day.

so now is probably an inopportune time for me to tell y'all that one of the nurses walked out to talk with me, and i let go of Tam's wheelchair and had to lurch/hop my way down the ramp to catch her :lol: :lol:
took me some effort to get her to laugh about that one!!

Annie and i have quiet little snuggle sessions late at night when Grudgie is under the covers and Binks is in the living room.
And for a dainty little girl, she's got a very deep, comforting motor!
How long has it been since i referred to them as the Adoptocats? :lol:

and i have to share this...last night during Smudge's pep talk, my sis told her that Binks' lack of a tail made him a bigger butt than other cats :shock: :o :lol:

nothing but LC today so far.

Oh, I hope Tam's conversation with Smudge helped her to deal with him, after all, she should remember he is a bigger butt. :lol:

PS-- your story about cuddling with Miss Annie really took me back to when I first got Miss Jezebelle. She didn't purr for almost a year, but when she did, she'd purr so loud her whole little body would just shake... called her my broken lil motor boat... because for many years after that, she'd only purr for me. Thanks for the happy memory of my best girl. :)

Hi Celi, Howdy Binks! What a grand day!! The torties are really coming around, and Binks is such a gentleman! Your time with Tam sounds like a real adventure, especially the part about the wheelchair on the ramp!! Smudge sounds like she is a therapy cat already (or at least in training).

actually stuck with the leg brace until i have surgery...not quite ready to undergo the knife...but soon!
making lurching little baby steps in the right direction :lol:

well, Lil Mister is snoozing now, slim rump firmly pasted to his plush doggie bed...
