Start to a mini-curve to try to figure out what's going on with Hershey...

03/10/12
AMPS (317) 6:10am - .8u
+6 (160)
+9 (187)
+11 (293) 5:00pm

PMPS (329) 6:45pm - .8u, to get him to a normal time for next week
+3 (276)
+6 (39) 12:45am - retest (36) - fed (1/4 can 4% Wellness) - seemed uber hungry after eating
:15 retest (42) - fed 1/8 can 4% Wellness
:15 retest (36) - fed 1/8 can 4% Wellness - was agreeable to the idea of eating, but not ravenous
:15 retest (50) - no food
+7 (42) - guess I should've fed; fed 1/16
:15 retest (45) - fed 1/16
:30 retest (45) - no food
+8 (45) - fed 1/16 - TOTAL FOOD: roughly 5/8 can
:30 retest (56) no food
+9 (51) - fed 1/16 - was afraid not to feed, in case he needed it and if I wait much longer it may mess up his AMPS - FOOD: Roughly 11/16 can in 3 hrs
+10 (78) - Wondering what AMPS will be.
+12 (137) - fed normal 1/4 can - HOW can he be hungry?? Left 'a little mouthful' - well, I guess he CAN get full!
+13 (251)
+14 (270) - 10:40am 03/11/12 - shot .5u

03/11/12
AMPS (270) - 10:40am shot .5u - Hershey moved when I injected (since he wasn't distracted by eating) and I thought I felt a little moisture after shot, but maybe not.
+3 (296) - Could it have been a fur shot - or partial fur shot - or is it all of that food catching up with him?
+4.5 brought up what was entirely hair with a little clear stomach juice. He hasn't done that since 2/25 - wish I could get him to stop...
+6 (451) - UGH!!!!!
+9 (472)
PMPS (360) :12 retest (420) idk why the diff (Diff ear regularly gives a diff number :?: ) but both # are .7u, so shooting .7u
+3 (342) - Thinking the 420 was the more accurate number, so going with that as PMPS
+6 (213)
+9 (273)
~+11.75 Vomit ~ ping pong ball size greenish-brown - maybe hungry?

You know, his 1/4 can isn't really a 1/4 can anymore. We're buying the larger cans, weighing his daily food (7-oz) and roughly dividing it into 4 meals. So, each is ~1.75-oz. Hoping to get a scale that measures < 1-oz, but didn't find one to do our business when we went shopping.

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

WOW! I'm shining up my dancing shoes so I can keep up with him! ;-)

Don't worry about his times. We'll roll with it wherever he's at, and however long he wants to dance. Kinda like the weather in Portland. If you don't like it, just wait 5 minutes, it bound to change!

What a night you had! WOW! Great job!!!

Thanks, Lyresa. For the score and the hug! :-D

Thanks, Lu. Hershey and I have had a talk...or two...about him behaving while with you. Not sure how far back to normal hours I can get him, but sure hated not to shoot this morning when he was clearly 'moving on up.' I was assured y'all had a tag-teamed ready to take care of him! ;-)

Good job on getting through the hypo!! Could the high numbers be the bounce??? So hope he settles down soon!

Great job last night Libby. Bounce happens, or it could have been a fur shot. This too shall pass. You’ll get him back in good numbers quickly I am sure.
Sendin’ good vibes for that :-D

Thanks, Robin. It's kind of discouraging when he sees good numbers and then goes way up, again, but I know it's better than 2 months ago. Can't believe Tues will be two months on insulin, sometimes seems like it's been forever and other times it's like we just started...

The last day or two, I've noticed Hershey shedding more and having more dander. I remember he used to shed, especially when the weather started warming up - Jessica says he's molting. ;-) Then, when he was untreated the dander was AWFUL, but he stopped shedding completely. Don't know if it has anything to do with numbers or stress or weather or maybe means nothing at all...

It's only been 2 months?

The bounce will go away, it's not his new numbers. Maybe we didn't dance fast enough this time, but we will next time.

PMPS (360) - Jessica said, "Hey! You went down a whole color!"

Not sure - do we need to retest to make sure he not still dropping, even at such a high number? If I don't hear from anybody, I'll just retest in ~ :05 (that will be ~ :12 after the first test)

PMPS (360) :12 retest (420) idk why the diff (Diff ear regularly gives a diff number :?: ) but both # are .7u, so shooting .7u
+3 (342) - Thinking the 420 was the more accurate number, so going with that as PMPS
