Thanks for the support! Rosy's doing nicely.

+2 / 311

Re: 3/10Rosy AMPS 173/+2 311

With that +2 you'll be okay not to get another test until mid-cycle now (around +6 or +7) and don't forget to get a +10 or +11 before PMPS to make sure Rosy doesn't catch us by surprise again

Tks Serryn! Question: Ive just fed Rosy & the rest. I cannot take her bg within 2 hrs because of the food, right? Then I'll need to do a +10 or 11. Finally the Methly12 is here. I gave her one pill of 3mg, hope it can help her. She is still weak with her rear legs.

Re: 3/10Rosy AMPS 173/+2 311

Glad the B12 has arrived for Rosy  I hope it starts helping her soon but I think sometimes it can take a little while

Yes you can take blood tests within 2 hours of eating. The only time it's really important to get 'clean BG tests' with no food involved is at the pre shot times so that you know that the numbers you are looking at aren't inflated by food and are safe to shoot. For example, if you got 173 (like this morning) but had fed Rosy after +10 then that 173 might be inflated by food and her BG without it might have been too low for you to shoot. Then when the food wears and the insulin starts working she could be in trouble.

You can make a note of the times she has been fed in the comments section of her ss but don't put the actual time put + however many hours, for example if her shot was at 9 o'clock and you fed at 11.45 you would say 'fed +2.75' because 2 and 3/4 hours have passed since the shot. Or if she is always fed at the same times (in relation to her shots) you can put an extra row at the top of her ss and note that.

ETA: In fact it is good if you can slowly start to get some idea of how various foods affect her BG levels - just not at shot time!

she's still quite bouncy, isn't she? but overall, these are much better numbers. keep on as you're doing. great job, helen!

Hi julie & punkin, Yes Rosy is still bouncy. With that limping hind legs she still loves to jump around scaring her mom.
I am very happy to see her getting in those pink & blue zone already.
Thankyou so much for giving me all the support & guideline.

Hoping for a nice surf for you both. Have a great day! :-D

Hi Angela & Blackie & 8 Others, Thankyou! It's my 3am local time, I've just fed Rosy her supper. Who are the 8 others? Your furry families? I've 21 others!

Helen
