Was up until 3:45 am to avoid Wally going hypo so I'm not surprised by this morning's bounce:
Here are his numbers from yesterday from PMPS onward:

AT2 - PMPS=154,+2=151,+3=100,+4=82,+5=78,+6.75=186
Relion - PMPS=132,+2=119,+3=66,+4=57,+5=55,+6.75=135

Surprised the Relion read higher than the AT2 this morning. Usually it's at least 100 pts lower at the higher numbers.

WOW Wally! He really looked fantastic last night! Come on back down, Wally boy!
He's not coming down yet and doesn't seem himself today. Lethargic and only ate 1/2 of his breakfast....

But - he did now just eat a little more and I tested his urine: 0 ketones, 1000 mg/dL

avoid Wally going hypo
has he had a symptomatic hypo before?

A drop <50 on the human meter (or <68 on pet) isn't consider a hypo event unless there are symptoms; just considered low numbers. Lots of non-diabetic kitties run low naturally - simba was a recent favorite of mine (SS here - look at his #s on his OTJ trial)

You did great steering him from earning a reduction! Hope he clears his bounce politely ! Have a good day, Gita :bighug:

Yes - early on he had a symptomatic hypo - staggering around, disoriented, etc. It happened in the middle of the night. Now - when he has the lower numbers, his only 'tell' is begging for food.

Oh do you know the date of you symptomatic hypo? I'm not the most experienced here but I've seen people add it to their signature as an FYI.

And Jax also meows for food when he's low; he has also been snoozing away in the 40s too :rolleyes: Wish these kitties could talk!

Hope Wally slides down :bighug::bighug::bighug:
