Good Morning LL! What a wonderful day for Tess yesterday! She ate on her own (mostly) and look how quickly she cleared that bounce. Last night she totally rejected her first dinner, the mix of Wellness Turkey and Merrick BG Turkey. Of course this worried me so I tried the straight Wellness which she had eaten in the morning. No problem! :-D This morning she rejected the mix again. I was wondering if it was the new pro-biotic, so I gave her Wellness Turkey w/ the probiotic in it. No problem. The two bowls were side by side, one licked clean and the other attempted to bury. :roll: So i guess not even a little Merrick is acceptable now. :YMSIGH: I have a week's worth all mixed, portioned up and in the freezer. ohmygod_smile But at least I know it is finickiness and not nausea or the new supplement. Tomorrow we reintroduce her raw! nailbite_smile

Wow, we love that green! Go Tess! Mags won't eat the bg Merrick either! They must aall think alike on some of the fuds. Great news seeing how well Tess is doing and feeling the past two days. Have a nice day, Ann.

It is so wonderful to see these numbers. Interesting, Rusty doesn't much care for BG Turkey either (strangely, he will eat the food in the 3-oz. can, but not the identical(?) food in the 5.5 oz can!). In addition to Wellness Turkey (and, of course FF T&G), he likes By Nature 95% Turkey and Turkey Liver a lot (the regular, not the organic). I will have to buy some more of it when we're in NYC next week. (We're still working on Stu's last case.) I believe the turkey is 2% carbs.

Oh, we have a picky eater here as well! The fortiflora "sprinkles" are the only thing that even gets Simon to touch Wellness. His fave is the feast that's fancy. . .mmmmm

Probably worth saving the frozen food and trying it again in a couple of months, they seem to go in cycles of likes and dislikes sometimes and she may forget that she put it on her reject list :lol:

It is so great to read that she's eating again, feeling good again and back to being finicky. :cool: Merrick BG Turkey was one of the few that Mannie was not very fond of. He's eat one serving and then not be too pleased with any more. Well, maybe she'll like it again in the future -at least it is frozen, and will keep a while.

I hope you have had a good weekend.

I know on the BG Turkey, she won't eat it alone, but before the UTI she was accepting it half and half w/ Wellness. I'd been mixing the Wellness and BG to get a lower Phos content and a Carb % that was the same as the raw. We had to run out for more of the Wellness, because it all got put into the mixed batch. She's all set now until i can get to the one store I know of that sells it in 12.5 oz cans. Only 17¢ an ounce that way, such a deal! :lol:

Yes. it will keep well in the freezer and I can slowly reintroduce it. Except our freezer isn't very big.

Ella, we used to get the By Nature, but PetSmart stopped carrying it and I can't find it around here anywhere. Tanya's list has it at .68% Phos which is very good, the Wellness Turkey is 1.05% and the Merrick BG Turkey is .95%. But according to their website, the By Nature is only 20 kcal/oz., that's just half of what Wellness is and I don't think I could get Tess to eat twice the amount she is getting now. :roll:

Tess is looking fantablous today! :mrgreen: I'm glad to see she's feeling better and eating her fuds. Leo isn't a big fan of Merrick BG either, once in awhile i can get him to eat a can but not very often. Do you ever notice how horrible BG smells?

Tess i missed you too! I was at the lagoon but now i'm not :oops: But it was very nice to see you there today, you looked very pretty ;-)

Welcome back Tess! Amazing surf today....absolutely perfect.

How funny on the food! I was just looking for By Nature for Gus....used to be at Petco, too. no more...I can't find it anywhere in town. Grrrrrrrrrr.

BTW, I remember you asked me about raw for Gus. I wish he would! Hope Tess enjoys the reintro her raw!
