Hi Everybody,

Getting a late start today. We were up late last night with Rusty, who took his time coming up from his 42 at bedtime. This morning we have a bounce going. Not surprising. Rusty got his reduction because the 42 at bedtime last night was his 3rd number under 50 on the fat 1.75 unit dose. So we shaved a drop, making the new dose 175 units (2.55mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe). Rusty, a long-time diabetic, does best on shaves rather than on full .25-unit reductions. He is on Levemir, so when I saw that 42 at onset, I knew we were in for a late night.

Needless to say, we were tired this morning and went btb after Rusty's test, shot, breakfast. I had to finish our taxes this morning, so I'm not getting on the board until now. Thanks for visiting us last night. I would have posted the later numbers, but the computer was in the other room and it was cold. Rusty is fine and has had his combing/brushing and is now, after lunch, chillaxing in his little bed by the radiator. I'm about to head to Lake Placid to do grocery shopping. We are expecting a major snowstorm on Wednesday and a smaller storm tomorrow.

Congrats on the reducie, but sorry about the late night, you deserved that btb. Come on Rusty, show them how much you like this dose!

Hi again,
Rusty had a nice, mostly blue rest day after his green day and low numbers last night. His bounce looks to have receded and we will see how he settles in to his new dose. Rusty is snoozing on the couch next to me as I type and rest my knee. We are listening to the 24-hour Bix Beiderbecke 113 th birthday anniversary broadcast on WKCR, the miraculous Columbia University radio station (streaming on the web). The jazz programs on this station are like nothing you will hear anywhere else.

Congrats on that reducie, but WOW what a night. :shock: Paws crossed Rusty has a slow steady descent and lets you catch up on sleep tonight.

Good to hear the brace is helping the knee. I found wearing mine really helped the first couple of weeks, and I still wore it for the next while after that when I though I might be doing something that could potentially twist it.

Congratulations on the reduction!
And nice recovery from the mini-mini bounce!
I hope the snowstorm won't be too bad.
