Lucian has never been OTJ and with the way he has reacted to the insulin, ( for over a year, ) I doubt he ever will. This is the closest to regulated he's ever been.
He eats Friskee's Pate', 9 carbs or less. I have 3 cats, it's what I can afford to feed all of them. Lucian eats when he wants to and will make my life hell if i don't feed him when he wants it. He eats every 2-3 hrs, 24/7. And refuses to eat anything that's leftover more than 30 mins. He won't eat frozen kitty sicles. The best I've found that he'll give me a total of 4 hrs sleep uninterrupted, is 'baked' canned Friskees.
I can only take credit for changing his insulin, the rest he's done on his own. It just seems like he responds better to the PZI (anti jinx), than he did Lantus or Levemir. But it was tough the first couple months, when he needed an 8hr cycle and shots 3 times a day. His cycle time seems to be changing and stretching out, Thank Goodness!
I'm half asleep, so if there is anything else you want to know, ask me.
Much love!
