3/10 Jonesy AMPS 402-2u;378@+2 PMPS 261-2u (NO Cancer!);95@+3

Got the call from my vet, NEGATIVE for cancer!! Thank goodness :)
The odd texture to his jaw bone is apparently from prolonged infection. Poor guy :( I've only had him inside since last August and didn't know how bad his mouth was until I rushed him in with the DKA. So it looks like he'll be on antibiotics for a prolonged period of time to try to at least stop this infection in the bone. (I didn't get all the technical terms)

He may not be in fighting form, but he's going to get there :woot::rolleyes:

Thanks all! Yes, I'm very relieved. Honestly, more than I allowed myself to realize (if that makes sense)

It looks like he may be on the antibiotics for a good length of time. This is possibly something that has literally gone on for years :( Poor guy . . . But we're on the right road! One of his bottom canines, the vet said he couldn't even see a root, never mind any semblance to a tooth, so we have to wonder if this infection got rid of the tooth? Or the tooth was so bad it cause the infection some time ago? He's not telling . . . ;)
