3/1 Morgaine PMPS 151 More on Session with AC

Good day all! Happy March!

Morgaine was in pain all night and I believe her elevated numbers are a reflectionn of that or i need to open a new vial of Lantus. Hopefully she will come down nicely today. I mixed her first dose of gabapentin in her food. I have no idea what to expect or how long it will take to have an effect on her pain. She was peeing everywhere last night but that tells me more about her pain than anything else. Poor kitty was continually meowing though there were intervals of some rest. I am hoping she sleeps today as this is supposed to have a sedating effect for the first few days.

Poor Morgaine! It sounds like you both had a rough night. :YMHUG: Paws crossed that the gabapentin does the trick. In humans it can have an effect on pain pretty quickly, within a couple of hours, but takes several weeks to reach full effectiveness. I hope you guys can both get some rest today.

She has come down to 139 @ +2 and is no longer meowing so i am thinking the gagapentin is helping all around. She seems sleepy but very interested in treats and food. So far so good in her response to this.

(((((Rosalie))))) That is so hard to see our babies so obviously in pain and not be able to do anything about it but wait. I'm so glad she is feeling better now. Isn't it great to have a pharmacist who knows about these drugs? Thank you, Melissa!

We also use cardboard boxes covered with a towel or small rug (secured with a bungee cord) for Zener to get up on things. We put books in them to make them stable. That could be very cost effective. Just have to find the right size boxes.

Poor Morgaine! I also hope the gab kicks in soon and gives her some relief. Nice to see her numbers come down...lovely.

Hoping you both get some rest tonight. Hope all went well with Linda...anxious to hear about it.

We had our session today with the AC, Linda. It was very interesting, productive and much of it was right on. She shared that Morgaine was dealing with very emotional and physical issues around her LB use and felt that Morgaine may not want to continue to deal with all of the limitations she now has in her life. Linda focused in on the tension and discomfort in her body and Morgaine's dislike of all that she had to endure. What I found so interesting was that while Linda was working on clearing some of the emotional energy and we were discussing Morgaine's free will, Morgaine went into her box in the hallway, the new one, and pee'd. I had to LOL as we were discussing whether Morgaine had the desire to make some changes so that we could get back to some type of normalcy. The session lasted over an hour and i recorded it so i will have to listen again and see what else she said. It was a pretty emotional experience as we discussed so many possibilites and what the outcomes might be. Linda is going to prepare some flower essences, created specifically for Morgaine and her issues.

Meanwhile, she is having a pretty good afternoon/evening. She will get a 2nd dose of gabapentin at shot time. she seems to be tolerating it well so far.

Hi Rosalie,
All in all this is an encouraging report. I do hope that you and Linda can get Morgaine's issues straightened out. In the meantime, it is great that the gab is giving her some relief from her pain.

Using the new LB while talking to the AC seems like a clear message that Morgaine wants to work things out. :lol: :lol: Great news!

That is what I thought and Linda agreed. It was so timely as Linda was saying that animals have free will and no matter what we may want, we must honor their free will. It was at that moment that Morgaine got up, meowed loudly to announce she was going to pee and walked into the box.

i agree - this is really interesting timing!

i hope things can get settled a bit with morgaine, for both of you. it's been a rough road the past little while. hopefully if the gab relieves some of her discomfort you'll see her happier all around and using the LB.

One thing that was emphasized was that a big partof Morgaine did not want to do this anymore and she was frustrated. She knew how upset and angry I was and she was also mirroring me, in more than one way. Since I could relate to her diabetes, we shared that and Linda did let her know I understood about all of it, the pain, the frustration of having to deal with the ear pokes etc. Linda said morgaine wanted to go back to when she had control and was in charge of things. she didn't like that i took over some control and was doing all the things i had to do to help her with the diabetes and still Morgaine didn't feel good.

At one point it got very intense and emotional and Linda said Morgaine was feeling it too. She worked on clearing some of that. I am a counselor/therapist and before I retired I worked with emotional healing techniques. So, our session really focused on both of us and I was able to experience all my pain and sadness around this as was Morgaine. Now it is up to both of us. For me it is about loving Morgaine and not getting upset with her. For Morgaine it is about helping her to feel better so that she can experience the love again and the comfort of my acceptance and love.

I so want her to feel better and to heal so that her neuropathy improves dramatically. This isn't a simple process at all and it is multi leveled.

Thank you all for caring. I am doing my best to give Morgaine unconditional love and acceptance. We really do mirror much to one another. It is interesting!
 
I hope the clearing of energy and understanding between you and Morgaine is a healing process for both of you, Rosalie. Perhaps doing positive affirmations would also be helpful. :YMHUG:
 
It sounds like you got a lot out of the experience, Rosalie. I bet Morgaine feels better, too! It is a very emotional issue and I think Linda is right on with the whole power thing - nothing like cat pee on the carpet to make you feel powerless! You are both frustrated and hopefully the communication will help alleviate that.

Very interesting report on the AC experience, thanks for sharing so honestly. :YMHUG:
