Yesterday's Condo

Good morning everyone in LL.
Looks like we are we waking up to some happy news and some sad news. (Tina & Brenda)

We did not have internet at the house this morning but I did not think it was a
problem shooting Max at 157 this am. I am becoming a pro now at shooting low numbers.
Max likes to have his fun at nightime when everyone is off to bed.
For those of you who missed it we pulled out our BOS and shot Max at 73.
Of course we dropped to 35, controlled with HC, continued testing till he came up
and earned a dosecrease to 5.5.

He is not too happy that his shot time is now almost 2 hours from original due to
the various stalls we had to do over the past few days.
He was lying on the food mat waiting for his routine, which I have not seen him do
in a while.

We are hoping for little rebound and some nice green & blue surfing.
I wish I knew why he is dropping very late in the cycle.

Hi Randi :)

SOOOO NICE! Loving seeing these numbers. Yesterday's late drop might have been a fluke due to full moon.. we'll have to wait and see if he drops late this cycle. What a pretty curve he has so far today. Very impressed over here! It appears possible that Max has finally started paying attention in liver training class!

I think he graduated already.
I just check his ss.
+2 already at 92 (entered as +4 out of habit but it was a +2)

Just called home to have him tested everyhour to catch any sudden drops again.
Very strange cat my Max is. How is this happening out of the blue (no pun intended, lol)

Max is really giving you a run for the money lately!!!
These Greens are such a wonderful thing--See if you wait long enough, good things do happen here in lantus land!!
You graduate from LTS when you are completely regulated--You are getting there!!! HUGS!!

I would not have minded if he did not grdauate at the top of the class.
DH gave him 2tsp of HC (he is home with DPS) he did not follow instructions (what a surprise) but I guess 42 not far off from 39 so that is what is happening and he will test in 15. I don't want him shooting out of the greens.

A bit too much.
He has been up and down in the past hour. (42-60) I think DH and DPS are feeding okay. They are alternating between, the HC gravy when he hit the 40's (I would have done MC but can't be critical of DH) and, then I think he received MC and LC.
I am watching all this unfold from work, logged into Max's ss and seeing the numbers change.

Now I am afraid for tonight's dose. Yikes!

Recap so far:

+3 42 fed 2tsp HC gravy
+3.25 50 fed 2tsp HC gravy
+3.5 43 fed MC (I think)
+3.75 60 fed LC
+4 60
+4.25 42 - not sure what was fed.probably HC.

Max will no longer have ears after this pokefest.

Hi guys. I'm lovin this action in this condo :mrgreen: Max is doing wonderful Randi - take a deep breath. I remember the days that MY Max was doing this crazy stuff to me - I thought I was gonna lose my mind. But look, it's still here - well somewhat I guess - LOL!!

Naaaaaa, he's got two ears and an entire tube of polysporin you're good.
Feed the 40s a touch pls. I know that you're not home, but I know that you know that someone is watching Max. Very very nice!

ETA - if this is C1 of a dosecrease, it's left over shed action.

Yes Helene this is C1 on the new dose so it makes sense it is leftover shed.

Right now he is 34 at 4.75 so that would be an automatic decrease. Although I have no clue anymore.
He has been eating mostly HC since these numbers have dropped.

Thanks Tina but I am at work. I am not doing anything other than watching the computer, being sick to my stomach now.
I swear someone stole my Max. I better check with Pat if a switch was made at the party
last night.

Wow - I missed all the action last night! I guess Max wanted to make sure I saw it today! :lol: Max is really liking his greens...maybe a little too much today!

Wow, what a cycle! It looks like DH (sorry, I don't know what/who DPS is) is doing a good job. It's hard to watch someone else take care of things and know that they aren't doing it exactly like you would, isn't it? Good for you, though, for not being critical, especially in the moment when he might be stressed too.

Max just wants to keep everyone on their toes and not let you guys fall into complacency. After all, god forbid you start to get a handle on how your kitty reacts to this crazy dance! ;) Sending good thoughts for the rest of the cycle and for tonight's #s as well.

Hi Randi,

What I meant is... typically, no two dosecreases in the row (1st one is earned, 2nd one in a row is left over shed action). Let's wait and see how the rest of the cycle goes for the Maxman.

Just got home...

I think Max might be another cat in disguise. Call Pat ASAP and see if Max is hiding under the bed.

I'm home now finally. He is out cold in his new catbed.
I hate this new time that I am on. I can't figure the +#'s in my head, coming from an accountant no less. :smile: I ended up shooting him at 8:40 last night with all the stalls these past few days. Plus this is a really late time so I need to graually move it back.

He finally bounced, as he deserves my poor boy. I am so glad I have tons of imported Relion test strips from the states and plan on hoarding more on my trip this week.

I will see how he goes a little later, +10, as I do not know what to shoot tonight. The 34 should be an automatic decrease but we just had one this morning and these numbers could be leftover shed (thanks for explainng Helene)

Max has clearly bounced.
I know I have learnt so much in the past while but I want to be sure I do the
right thing.

1. Max hit 34 today - should be a dose reduction BUT
2. We already reduced today based on an earned reduction
3. This 34 could be left over shed from the 5.75
4. Shoot through the rebound. I would say the 309 & 425 are rebounds.

Based on the above I would thibk I should maintain the 5.5 and not reduce again,
however, I would fell mor comfortable if someone with more experienced eyes could tell me what to do.
I would like to shoot in about 45 minutes to an hour.

I mat be up with you tonite!! Moonie just got a 106 pmps & I shot it--

I think you are correct. In all likelihood, the low numbers earlier involve some shed action from the previous dose. At the very least, you will want to shoot through the rebound. Let's see what the PMPS numbers look like. If they are in this range, shooting the 5.5 makes sense.

So I am learning a little bit. lol.
I will do a little early test so I don't delay the shot.
Poor boy was looking for his food after I tested him at +10, which used to be his PMPS
so I told him he had to wait.

Uh Randi, I forgot to shut down the computer today. Six might have emailed Max...sorry.

But with this rebound, I would think he's signaling you can get some sleep tonight.

I am so excited....that must have been some chat they were all having in the corner last night...Moonie and Max and Shadow...wow...planning strategies I guess....

Hey Randi,
I think you should check the stickies to see what provisions are needed should a third ear be required at some point haha_smiley nothing like being prepared!

Good luck with the dosing and hope the Max decides to take it easy on you soon.
 
Reading Max's condo is an education in itself! We poor neophytes are in awe of this conversation. We hope that Max has a good night and gets his routine back (you, too, Randi!).
