Yesterday's thread

Bit of a whirlwind morning. I thought I had a 9 am and 10 am meeting, so when Kit went from 273 to 79 in 2 hours, I panicked a bit. I went ahead and fed her about a tablespoon of 15% at +2, and then again at +2.5. I also left out a tablespoon of 7% before I ran out the door.

Turns out my 10 am meeting is actually at 11, so I came home to check on her now since I'll need to head back to campus. I was afraid the 15% twice was overkill, but she's only up to 98 a little over an hour later, so I feel good about the choice. I had her eat a little 3%, and I'll test her again before I run out the door. I'll probably leave some 7% out when I leave again soon (so much running around!), and then I'll come home from work a little early today to check on her.

I’m exhausted Just reading your synopsis this morning Alicia period. I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now. But Kit must’ve been very happy with yummy carbs. Obviously she needed them since she didn’t really go up too high. Great job, managing her numbers, carbs, and running back-and-forth to campus. You are one talented cat mom :kiss::bighug::kiss::bighug:

Glad that she stayed in the green after the 15% gravy. You know, I would do the same. Otherwise, I would be too nervous to leave the house.

Thanks - it feels like most days are go go go like that. Luckily campus is only a 10 minute drive. My first meeting was in a house that the campus owns but is one (of quite a few) that the college is planning to sell. It's so cute, and I genuinely have no desire to be a homeowner, but I also sort of want that house now. :facepalm:

I wish the pates could taste as good as the gravies! Then it wouldn't be such a fight some nights (I presume, they are cats and do like to do whatever they want).
 
I was surprised to see a high yellow this morning, although maybe I shouldn't have with the blue cycle that was heading back up by +5 last night. And I don't know if tonight's PMPS yellow is a reaction to the 200ish point drop in the first two hours, or the sort of large amount of high carb food I fed her just in case. I keep toying with an increase, but then she'll throw a 50s nadir. Some thoughts on what more experienced eyes are seeing in her SS would be ever so much appreciated. @Wendy&Neko @Angela & Cleo @Bandit's Mom @tiffmaxee Thanks in advance for any advice you're able to give.

Thanks, Angela. I can definitely monitor the next couple of days, so I'll increase in the morning. I think I just needed a nudge to get me over that last little bit (or someone to say it was okay to increase and that I wasn't maybe making a bad choice)

She also seems to be wanting to stay higher this cycle, so I may just go to bed early.
