Good Morning! We re daring to dream of Spring in Virginia. nailbite_smile

Would like some advice on getting Fred into blues and greens. I'll be home Sat/Sun and can monitor, but back to work on Mon. Is the weekend enough time to start and maintain a new dosing program without constant testing?

Should I push him lower with .4 or .8? My goal is less or no insulin. I'm noticing the good effects of regular small meals and hope that low-carb wet food might take the place of some insulin, getting him down to .4.

I may not be on the right track, so would appreciate your advice.

Thanks,

I would try .8, Kathleen, on numbers 200+ and see if he drops into greens for nadir. You might get a bounce for the next preshot, but he will eventually get used to the greens. If you can monitor, this weekend will be a good time to try that, and then you will feel safer following that pattern next week, if it gives you the results you want.

Do be encouraged by the fact that he is generally regulated and below the renal threshold, so his numbers are good. But if your goal is OTJ, green nadirs are the goal.
