Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I've checked in. I don't update my spreadsheet as often anymore. Just store the numbers in the meter and input them every few days (or weekly, yikes I get behind.) Noticed just now when I was putting in the numbers that someone was viewing. Thanks to whoever for checking in on us. We are alive and well. Still on the bg roller coaster, but hanging on tight.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Buddha today. Pulled out the gravy lover's with the 38 reading. Busy day! I'll be late with tonight's shot due to evening activities.

Hi Donna, nice to see you! I do peek at your SS now and then, but it wasn't me this time. ;-) Nice shooting, glad you're around to monitor.

Not related to the lows today...I'm just curious, do you use an automatic feeder for snacks?

Hi Laurie! No auto feeder here. I think about it sometimes. Some days it might just be another thing that needs cleaned. Here in my part of the south the large cockroaches find their way into the house in the summer and I just know they'd hide inside of an auto feeder to scare the bejeegus out of me. Shiver.

But there are days when an auto feeder would be so handy. But Buddha, that cat, half the time I have to remind him to go snack. Food can be sitting waiting for him, but he'd never think to go look. I was wondering if I could train him by setting an alarm (attached to a collar around his neck?). Set the alarm to go off and physically lead him to food. After a week or so of that, maybe the sound alone would trigger a snack attack.

I love my autofeeder, but I'm not in the south so I hadn't thought about the bug problem, that would freak me out too! Yuck!! My sister lives in Florida...she had a palmetto bug that lived in her coffee table, she could not get rid of it, so I hear you! As far as cleaning it, mine cleans very quickly and easily, but I know what you're saying there too...I know you have enough cleaning with the family! Interesting idea with the alarm, I hadn't thought of that! I use the 5 meal feeder, it makes a noise when it rotates. Tinkles learned quickly to go eat when he heard that sound, and it's mostly successful. Some people train their cat by putting treats in each chamber and setting it to open at certain times when they are there to encourage the cat to go find the treat. I have to say that the autofeeder has made things much easier for me, I set everything up at AMPS and PMPS and Tinkles feeds himself...well, except when he needs intervention for low numbers!

Just a thought. Many of us use a feeding schedule to control drops which seems to help eliminate bouncing...that might also be beneficial for Buddha so I thought I would mention it.

I hope you and your family are doing well, it's always nice to see you post!
