Yesterday's Condo

Good morning Sugar Kitties and Jelly Beans,

Basil starts the day with a very nice number for us. Must be the great time he had at the party last night. He gave me a message to post: "Thank you, Shadow and Raja. And so sorry Moonie. It was the catnip talking." Dunno what that's about.

It feels springy today! 39 degrees F at 8am!! And very windy. We let Basil go outside and to our great surprise, he climbed up onto a big boulder and then ran up a tree (maybe 6 feet, but still...). He went back onto the boulder and sat tall and proud, surveying his land like a lion. We live in a ruralish suburb and we are in woods and wetlands so there is always something to watch. He seems okay with the new little dog, but told me that he calculated that there are now the same number of dogs as cats again and he is quite disappointed at that. He outweighs her and I think they will all adjust. :)

He left some of his breakfast today. Maybe he is ready to adjust to another small calorie reduction. He sure needs it as does his sister.

OMG one more DAY!! Basil sounds very spunky & ready to be OTJ! Cant believe how great you have done here--I'll save it for tomorrow!! HUGS~!

Beautiful AMPS Basil...and your polka dot suit really made a hit with the ladies!!
I think he spoke the truth to Moonie last night....now he is trying to get out of it... ;-) typical guy thing!
(oh no....if I talk about it they will know I was eavesdropping on the party....Mum's the word...)
but they did make a nice couple on the dance floor...ooops...quiet bigmouth...

Glad your newcomer is adjusting....that is so great that you have such a big happy family...

Happy Day 12! Just two more days and you will be joining us at the Falls!
 
So, just because he knows I HAVE to have something to worry about, Basil tossed me a crumb. Despite his wonderful AMBG and PMBG numbers, he has little appetite.

He ate about 2/3 of his bkfst (1/2can), LEFT most of his +4 minimeal (1/4 can) and ate every crumb of his +8 minmeal (1/2 can). Tonight, he left about 2/3 of his dinner (1/2 can). I looked back through his ss and noticed that a few times I have commented he was very hungry for a couple of days (as he has been the past couple) and then had a so-so appetite for a day or so. Hopefully, that's all that's going on. That, or he wants new flavors.

He seems otherwise fine, although he is not wild about having anew dog around. Basil dislikes adjusting.

How wonderful to have another rescue.
Sorry if I missed it but does he/she have a name. I am sure "drooler"
won't go over well either.
