Good morning, everyone,

The blue last night was super short-lived and on the higher side, so that was disappointing. No poop yet either. I'll get her something on my way home from work to try to make her go. Thinking that I may stay at work for lunch today since not seeing anything remarkable or "low" on 3 thus far, and I am going through gas and miles like crazy. I have a feeling she'll probably end up going to 3.25 or 3.5, but we'll see. Hope today is a good day for everyone!

Just stick with the 3 until you see what it does, you'll probably be surprised! She needs to get used to lower thresholds. If you change the dose, you aren't getting a baseline for the dose.

The Slippery Elm I use is already premixed as a tincture. Some other members buy slippery elm bark and boil it down to a tea.

Wal-Mart may sell it in store, I got it through Amazon.

The brand is called Animal Essentials. Make sure it's just Slippery Elm, ( yet make another one called Colon Rescue, but that's for diarrhea).
 
Ok great, thanks! That gives me an idea what to look for. I sure hope I can get it in store somewhere. Waiting on Amazon, she may explode indeed. Can you believe I just got the Dr Elseys from them like two days ago? I know the weather out here was bad and that could have delayed things, but I was like sheesh! Glad I wasn't counting on it. I'll let you all know if I get some and hopefully it'll do the trick! :)

Stay with 3U for now. It's possible she is bouncing from the long stretch of blues she saw the other night. Also, it's only been a couple of days (or less) since she stopped eating higher carbs. I would give it another 2 or even 3 days on this dose to decide whether the reduction was too much.

Get the Miralax anyway while you wait for the SEB. If no poop today, post on The main forum for dosing. The Slippery Elm is supposed to be good for pancreatitis too, so you may want to try it anyway.
 
Yes, I feel like that's how you know you've "arrived" as a mom, when you get ecstatic to see a poop lolol
 
I think tonight's gonna be more active. :)Also, she decided to go for a round 2 on the number 2 and made another one! :p however she hasn't eaten any wet food today, so off I go to rotating and finding another flavor she'll eat :rolleyes: then off to snooze until the next test in a few hours.
 
What a relief that she went! Did you have to give her something for it or did she just go?
That's a good drop at onset tonight :-)
 
She went all on her own. Just in time too, because I had bought some pumpkin and Miralax on my way home.
Well, we got a blue again! 194. :cool: she has been acting a little off tonight though, like she doesn't feel herself. Being more clingy, wanting to be by me more. I'll check again in an hour or two and see what we get.

Her body is used to higher numbers so she will feel out of sorts when she first encounters lower numbers. Like a caffeine addict without coffee! But once cats get used to lower numbers, they start loving them and begin to feel bad in higher numbers.
 
That makes sense. I remember now you said that before but I keep forgetting to connect that to when I see her acting out of sorts.
We're still in blues (173).:cat:
