28/3 Mauer AMPS 221, +3 149, +4 149, +5 128, +6 97, +7 94, +8 77, +9 86, +10

Patience mama bean, she will come around :) she took longer to come around on the 2.25 but she did so she will as well on this dose as well, just make sure to catch it when she drops too quickly

You know the game.... patience! you just changed the dose... it will work!
Don't they say something about flat yellows come before active cycles?.....
Yeah they do. And she usually doesn't follow the usual way. It takes a few flat cycles before she takes the roller-coaster down..

I'm so ready!!!
Not really. It's Sunday, I'm thinking about going back to bed. It's so unfair Mauer is lying there snuggling and I'm having a battle staying awake

Too fast if you ask me :oops:
But I'm happy!
New meter is a *****... I used three strips doing the 97 :woot:
I'm used to the meter not being so sensitive to scooping blood up, or if there's too much blood.. but noooooo.
New meter needs a name!

Thats a bounce clearing cycle, so it can be more active, just test more often so she doesn’t go under 50 again.

I noticed too the last week that too much blood is as well bad of the stripes...

Then one could argue if raising the dose on a bounce was a good idea? It solved itself last time..

I wasn't on my last, it was nice. It takes some time to get used to!

So to evaluate the day; she got green, she surfed somewhat nicely.
However, I've been feeding her every hour for the past 5 hours, last two with 19% and 5% mixed 50/50.

Today also is the first day in a few, I've fed 5% instead of 2%.
We had that tiny accident a few months back, where I fed her HC unknowingly and she surfed nicely.

Could she possibly NEED the 5% to work with, instead of less? Or carbs in general?

I'm afraid I might increased her to soon, on a bounce, and that she doesn't actually need the extra .25, and that if I haven't been feeding her throughout the cycle she would have gone below 50 or more.

I need some input
@tiffmaxee @Wendy&Neko

I was advised at some point to try feeding a 6% carb diet to try and flatten out the curve. I tried, but Hercs decided to go all pink for weeks (no matter what carb % I fed him), and the experiement did not told me anything. We might be going back to better numbers, and I intend to do the experiment again....

Mauer gets 7% during the night. :woot:
Maybe Herc is sensitive to carbs?

19%? Thats a lot :D but you did get a nice flat green cycle, so maybe the decision wasnt bad :)
Well, didn't have MC so I made my own :woot::cool:
She would have gone lime if I haven't been keeping her butt up..

Sometimes slightly higher carbs is needed to get a nice green surf like you saw today. Nice healing numbers. You will need to experiment to see and then he will likely follow a different pattern. :cat:;)

Like Elise said. Each cat differs in how carb sensitive they are and what works for them. Your job as cat-servant is to figure out what food works for Mauer. A couple interesting posts:
Exactly what I read..
But feeding 21% and not seeing a response in her BG? That feels a bit ridiculous.
But maybe the lack of response when just fed for food and not to get back up, would explain the lack of response when I do need her to back up and she just keep surfing...?

So not a "false" increase? I just had my hopes up. Need those patience pants........

Guess I won't be sleeping much. Already headed back down +2.5
Just a warning, I might be keeping you company tonight :woot::arghh:

Start running!:p:p

How long after feeding the 21% was the test? It can take 20-30 minutes to respond to HC, ECID again. I can't see any 21% feedings today in the SS.
Not today...
Few months ago. Fed it a few days and she surfed like never before :p

Looking good! I would not wait more than 2 hours for the next test.
I'm up.... TV is turned on, lights all over. I really really regret sleeping +3 and not at pmps as usual
