27/4 Monty: SDMA results

Monty is ok!

A month ago a pre surgery blood test revealed high urea and protein.

I took him back 4 weeks later for a full blood test and SDMA. SDMA results are normal for a cat his age. Blood shows high protein and urea again but within normal range this time. He's to have another test in 6 months.

Meanwhile the vet would like to check his blood pressure to test for hypertension.

Feeling very relieved :)
 
Checking the BP is a very good idea. When I asked for a baseline test both my vet and I were surprised to learn Max had primary hypertension as he didn’t have CKD at the time. That’s great the SDMA is good.
