I have to show off, see pic of the beautiful ears, they are LOOKING really good, but they want me to keep up with cleaning and treatment for a while after they are looking better to give her the best chance of them healing. Unfortunately she has become properly growly with me touching them now, so testing is a real mission.
Also, sometimes the meds create a kind of soapy coating on the ears which causes the blood to just smear, instead of forming a drop (even with every trick in the book); then I just can't test - and now I try up to 4x to test and if I don't get one I leave her, otherwise it becomes really hard to get more tests for a while.
But they are seriously beautiful ears, and she is so proud of them!
Thanks, some days I feel pretty disheartened, especially when Whiskey becomes Hissey.
Just finished marking all her food for my house sitter for the weekend so that she knows which to give, and under what circumstances.
There are some MC ones I keep for low BG events, but which are also the only thing she'll eat if she goes completely off food. Even though she's on such a low insulin dose I'm still nervous about taking her off while we are away, although the risks of a hypo that the poor house sitter can't deal are way worse!
