2 Oct 2022 - Whiskey AMPS=121 +2=76 PMPS=113 +2=112

Part of the way through today I noticed she was holding her head a bit oddly, so I checked her ears and they were a bit weepy. Cleaned them out, but giving her a break from testing today, other than absolutely essential tests.

I think the ears may be part of a spring / summer thing as they were fine for all of winter.

Have also started her on her allergy meds now from today. Hopefully it will help!

Our kitty doesn't have allergies, but hubby cleans our kitties ears and seems to like it. I can't do it:(

Fingers crossed for Whiskey!

The ear cleaning isn't difficult, but she doesn't like it because it requires epiotic liquid in her ears which she hates!

We adopted her as an adult last year and she had no history with her. So at least now I know what to expect.

I also do the ear cleaning, testing, shooting etc. My partner will feed if I'm out, but he's not keen on any of the other stuff!

What allergy medicine are you using?
It's the South African equivalent of zyrtec, which is a ceterizine anti histamine. She gets half a tablet per day in the evening. It was recommended by my vet along with a few others, but this is the one I've found works best for her.

That is what I am giving Mocha too.

It really works amazingly well for cats, just really grateful for the FMDB group on FB which is where I saw it posted about originally, and that made me ask my vet what I could use as an equivalent here!

I suspect that Whiskey's previous owner may have tried to use cortisols for her allergies, and that probably caused the diabetes.
