so.. the old vet called in the AM while i was taking care of peanut w his breakfast and meds so i missed it.. and said his results were ready. i called back to get them.. he never called back again.

im hoping things are ok.. but idk. his tone. i guess we’ll see.. im still giving around 50 mL today.. tho now i have a complex about it.. in the instance there is issue w the heart.. what are the options then?

nugget had lower numbers today.. had to fight them a bit it felt like.. will see now on things. think ok for shot tonite (?).. we're exhausted tho. why fluids and other things got late.. just ugh. but we doin best.

just.. trying to get through. also current vet said to her knowledge.. B12 dont cause low potassium. sigh.

I did my best w fluids today.. he didn't like em so much.. tried getting the full 50 and i read the bag wrong.. got most of it tho? ...... im thinking, based off what I hear whenever I hear it on the echo, getting some 20 or 19 Terumos.....will go faster... im hoping too once he gets the therapeutic dose of 75 or more, he'll like them more too..

I did my best w fluids today.. he didn't like em so much.. tried getting the full 50 and i read the bag wrong.. got most of it tho? ...... im thinking, based off what I hear whenever I hear it on the echo, getting some 20 or 19 Terumos.....will go faster... im hoping too once he gets the therapeutic dose of 75 or more, he'll like them more too..

Are you hanging the bag up really high? It helps it drip faster. And sometimes you have to move the needle a bit to get it to flow faster. Or sometimes hold the skin up to get it to go fast….and sometimes it makes a difference if their head is up or down. If you have help you can do this stuff. My daughter helps with the cat holding part (one cat) and the other cat just munches his special Z/D kibble during the whole thing and doesn’t care a bit. This is what’s been going on in my world lately and the stuff we’ve had to do to get a rapid flow rate. I’ve been using Terumo 19 gauge on one kitty and 20 gauge on the other because he’s such skin and bones.

its just me.. no help here.
i think a different gauge would help.. and the Terumos go in less painfully. will see.. he went potty very well tonite.. so i think the daily fluids are working! but the latter looked a bit.. green.. im worried now about his liver. his Thistle got put to the side and ive been overwhelmed w everything..

and he needs his liver. esp w all these medicines..

me too…… that tool.
I am!! and i think theyre helping!! he went potty tonite and it looked very nice!.. only thing is.. color was a bit green.. worried about his liver now. his ALT is also elevated.. which i expected. been trying to get him back on his Thistle.. . and sugar numbers not so good rn cuz i was so behind w time cuz we fought low numbers during the day.. i was exhausted. ..

they certainly did!! i need to setup but need litter.. unable to get to store. walking is a bit better i think! but hard time squatting.. like for potty today didnt make it one time.. (couldnt walk there.. and afraid to move it.. cuz he knows that its there..) but looks well hydrated..
