Hi furbaby friends, Baby's body may be busy this evening based on her +2
Baby is eating, playing, napping & her litterbox is in order. Baby was rescued from a shelter nearly 10 years ago & a requirement before her being adopted out was that she be spayed, anyway.. her belly has never been completely smooth.. I chalk it up to a 1/2 a$$ attempt at someone doing a spay at the shelter. Anyway.. her sister Sadi got her spay done at our Vet (Sadi did not come from the shelter, but rather an individual) anyway.. Sadi's belly is smooth as silk. I don't know if I am becoming more obsessed with Baby (cannot even imagine that) but I feel like maybe her belly is more lumpy the past few days.. I go to her & feel her belly, go to Sadi feel hers & so on all day & night the past few days.. squeeze it, touch it, rub it... anyway, I have made an appointment with the vet to see if it is just her spay that has always been there or if she is lumpy nailbite_smile I am scared...

I continue to offer higher carb food.. she just ate Wellness Turkey & Chicken in Gravy, will test in 15mins

How's this --Moonie has a notched ear, I thought she got attacked when we first had her--Took her to be spayed & she got spayed again :shock: --The ear notch was from her being :shock: Spay & release pobably had her before I got her!! She has little lumps under her chin, Copper does not, but he doesnt have the acne either,as she does!

Awww (((Nicole))), I'm sorry you're scared. Is Baby seeing the vet tomorrow? Of course you'll let us know what the outcome is.
No sense my telling you not to worry in the meantime.
Holy cow , does that really say 34? :shock:

Thanks, (((Roni))) (((Barb))) yes.. thankfully up to 48 now.. usually I can get her up easily.. not tonight though.. am nailbite_smile & yes she does go to the vet tomorrow & I will most definitely let everyone know...

It will set your mind at ease if you take Baby to the Vet and have her examined if you suspect something may be off. If it's worrying you, I would do the same with Maggie. Nice to see Baby coming up. Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted.

I would do the same thing too, Nicole. If there is a problem, you are totally on top of it. If she's fine (which I suspect!), then your mind is at ease. With Willie's skin issues, I've learned that the more attentive you can be, the better!

She continues to show such great numbers... though 34? Hope you've started breathing again! ;)

ETA: Just saw your question about the Advocate... I did find that it ran lower than the Relion for numbers blue and up, but found they were very comparable in greens (and occasionally it was higher). Check out January 28-29 on my spreadsheet... it was serendipitous that I happened to be comparing meters when Willie was being a rainbow kitty. :) Also keep in mind the 20% margin of error for all meters... On your Advocater, the 100 was really in the range of 80-120, while the Relion 141 is really in the range of 113-169. There is overlap there.

Don't know if you saw my post from yesterday in health, but I find that I definitely need an actual bead of blood, and I have much better luck getting a reading if I apply the strip face side down on to Willie's ear... it draws the right amount much more quickly than if I try to apply the strip the same way I do with the Relion. It will read if you don't get enough blood... and it will be a very low number. It took some practice to get used to, and while I find I like the Relion a little better, the cost difference made up for it for me. Good luck!

((((((((Nicole and Baby)))))))) Maverick has a really lumpy belly from two big abdominal surgeries. I can feel them more if he's a bit constipated. Will be watching for updates and keeping you two in my thoughts.
