Yesterday was a slow blue waltz day. Our lowest preshot, our first blue AM surf (we’ve had a couple of blue PM surfs), our lowest cycle average, and our lowest daily average. Weezer seems fine with it all. She was a little quiet, but we had rainy weather yesterday and she is usually a bit down in that kind of weather. We’re bouncing this morning, but hopefully will clear that today.

Last night I got a urine test and was surprised that the strip turned dark, reading between 1 - 2, with 2 being the highest possible on the strip. This morning I checked the container and realized the strips are out of date. Well, duh!

Wishing a kitty day for all, plenty of purrs, play, sunny spots and lots of love.

Tee hee on the strips - glad you worked it out. C'mon down Weezer now we've seen you in some much prettier colours we want you to stay there.

oh you just reminded me I need to buy some of ketone strips.
Weezer you did a fabulous job yesterday hope you can clear the bounce quickly and get back to nice pretty blues.

Hi Linda, what a nice blue cycle yesterday for little Weezer. I bet she clears the bounce in no time. Whew with the expired date on the strips. Have a nice Wednesday.

Were these ketone strips or urine glucose strips? If ketone strips, please test yourself. Anything with a positive ketone test makes me very nervous. While its much more likely that a cat can develop ketones with high numbers, it can happen with low numbers, as well.

The strips are keto-diastix. They test for both ketones and glucose. The container said to discard 6 months after opening and I think I got them in June 2011. She has always tested negative for ketones (after her initial bout at the time of FD dx). Of course the last couple of months the strips have been out of date. :roll: I will pick up some new ones today.

What a lovely day yesterday! I'm sure Weezer will break this bounce in no time. It's so exciting to watch the progress you guys have made in the past few weeks.

Great day yesterday for Weezer! I'm glad we can blame the strips for that glucose test. Now let's clear that bounce, Weezer-girl!

As you once wrote on Zener's condo - it is nice to have lovely numbers to bounce off of! :roll:
Those sticks always make me nervous, though we test religiously. Thank goodness they are not expensive! :razz:
