Good Snowy Morning, Everyone,

The snow is coming down at the rate of 1 inch per hour at the moment. We are supposed to get about 20 more inches between now and Tuesday morning. It is beautiful, powdery snow. Now that we have snow it looks like an old-fashioned winter here in the Adirondack Mountains. Rusty is snug on top of the radiator, watching the snow fall. The yard is full of deer trails (they go single file in a "paceline" so that no single deer has to work that hard breaking trail). The birds are at the feeders. This wonderful snow is too good to waste indoors, so tomorrow, bad hamstring or not, I'm going to get out on my snowshoes.

Rusty had a good night and ate all of his nighttime food. Yesterday he wasn't much interested in food, but last night and this morning he is eating well. Breathing is good. All is well here. Beans are going out to dinner at friends'. I hope our plower comes so that we can get the car out!

Last night the Ice Palace was lit and there were fireworks. With all the snow, it is hard to see the details in the ice!

Wishing all a good day and sending healing vines to all in need,

Ella & Rusty

A beautiful day. Love that soft fluffy eye-lash clinging snow. Unless, of course, the wind is blowing!

Nice that Rusty's back on track with his eating and breathing. I just love how spoiled this boy is....deservedly so.

Enjoy the snowshoeing.

Oh, absolutely adored the picture yesterday. Took me back to some of the good days of college.

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Thanks for the visits this morning! :) WOW on your snow! That just has to be beautiful, with lots more to come too. 20"???? Very cool. I hope you enjoyed the Ice Palace. Bummer in a way that you couldn't see all the details due to the snow. It truly must be a winter wonderland there. It is so odd to think you guys are so snowy and cold, and here we sit with 50/55 weather, sometimes wet, sometimes sunny, with spring flowers starting to show. I really enjoyed the mental image created by your description of the deer. How wonderful to have them!

Good luck with your snowshoe adventure! Be careful, but I do understand where you are coming from. I have often been on the trail, with all sorts of aches and pains... :woot: There are times when one simply cannot waste or ignore an opportunity!

Rusty - awesome BG's for you today. Surf well, keep the lagoon secure, and stay warm!

Enjoy your day today. I hope you have a great Sunday!

Nice slide for Rusty today. How wonderful on all the snow. The light, fluffy kind is the best. We've had a very disappointing winter with very little snow and today it has hit 70F. It's not supposed to be that warm. It will be back to the 30sF on Thursday.

Your winter festivities and the scene in general really do sound magical. I hope that one day I will see something like that.

I wonder if the deers take turns in being at the front of the line or if there is an assigned plower - perhaps the biggest one with the strongest legs?

Be careful tomorrow :nailbiting:

Lagoon Meister is looking great :D thanks for your comments yesterday I've reholstered and will wait out ten cycles since his late travel shot

Hi Serryn, Yes, a paceline in bicycling means that everyone in the group takes a turn at the front of the line.

Hi everyone else, We were out to dinner at friends' and never got back on the board. Our beautiful snow has changed over to freezing drizzle (it must be an upper level temperature inversion, because the temperature on the ground is 8 degrees F.). Everywhere to our south is getting tons of snow!
