Good morning World! Yesterday's CELEBRATION!

AMPS 342

My pretty baby's wearin' his big pink toad suit this morning! We're so tired of these high numbers but can't figure out how to get him to steady those few blue runs he does have. I can find NO rhyme nor reason as to why they stay high, suddenly drop then stay high again. I've tried correlating food, treats, shot places, insulin amount, about everything I can find that might affect those numbers - there's just NOTHING. I just don't understand so guess I a little frustrated today. We've been doing this dance for 8 months today and I don't feel like we're much further down the road than we were then.

If you missed our condo yesterday, please take time to visit the link above and share our smiles. It was a GOOD day for everyone!

KT's a happy cat this morning - FedEx delivered a BIG bag of EVO dry! We used a bit of our emergency medical dollars to buy it. It came straight from the factory so it's REALLY fresh. I'm not sure how I'm going to store this 15 lbs of food without it getting stale but I'm sure I'll figure out SOMETHING. No fridge nor freezer room but if I put it in a sealed container in my cold garage, that should keep it...shouldn't it?

My photobucket find for today introduces 'TipToe (GA)'. Tip originally belonged to the meanbean neighbors. When she showed up, they made her an inside dog, she got lots of love and attention...until the next 'puppy' came along. Tip was thrown outside and spent the next years living outside instead. When she got old and couldn't see well, stOOpid PapaMeanBean let her walk with him to an area where there was a mean dog. The dog attacked her, tore her up fairly badly and taking the rest of her eyesight. Something happened to her hearing during that time too - she was left almost deaf too. Again (as with 4 of their other animals), rather than taking her to the vet, they said "let her lay there, if she lives, she lives, if she doesn't, well...she doesn't. NOT!!! I took her in, had her stitched up, got meds, pulled out all my pretty backyard landscaping and turned her loose in the backyard. When it was cold, she came inside with Pepper. We had her for another 3 wonderful happy years - she loved us so much and was so happy here. Her favorite thing was to run from one end of the yard to the other with us. She'd put her nose against the back of our leg and off we'd go - gave these 2 old people good exercise too. We lost her to renal failure in the winter of 2009 but were with her to the end. She just loved to dig - this is Miss TipToe in her 'cool cave':

Thoughts and prayers today for our new dx'd babies joining us and our ailing kitties and Beans.

HUGS to all that visit today - we truly appreciate each one of you!!!

Hi guys .. don't be frustrated .. I know, easier said then done right? But you guys are doing great .. While KT may not always be in blue, he does get there occasionally, and that's all because of your dedication to him .. he seems happy and healthy and content and is there anything better for a cat then to live a life like that? We all know FD can be discouraging .. we just can't focus on the bad numbers .. let's be thankful KT is still here with us 8 months later, right? :YMHUG: and by the way, Tip is gorgeous .. as for the mean neighbor's, I'll bite my tongue.
