good morning!

based on the info Cheryl posted in our condo yesterday....did some research...and now i'm convinced Smudge is a tortie brat, but Annie qualifies as a calico.
YAY!! much better fit for the personality differences!

we're late to the board this morning, but binks seems to be in his new little routine of "green by +3"...

all 5 p's present for the boy...he has been on a Smackdown mission for 2 days with Smudge as the target...so yesterday i got tired of it and used the spray bottle on him.
thinking of making him don the "relaxed & groovy" kitty collar if he keeps up the snarkiness today. had to finally give up and sleep on the couch last night, and not willing to let it be this disruptive.

i have one of the bedrooms finished, but currently have company...so perhaps when they leave i'll move the girls' possessions in there...but i think it's past time we all "just get along" :lol:

sending healing vines to all ailing kitties and beans today...need to get some running around taken care of between tests today, so will have to delay condo hopping for awhile.

guess i should have known that a cat who has 3 fountains and likes to get in the bath with me would enjoy the spray bottle... :YMSIGH:

Just to confuse matters even more, these are some descriptions from the Cat Fanciers' Federation website for "Particolors/Tabbies". With some cats it's hard to distinguish between calico versus tortie+white. Years ago when I showed my Longhair Fold, I had one judge compliment me on registering her color correctly, while another felt she was a calico, so :roll:. Her face looks more like a calico, but her body is definitely tortie+white.
Bottom line is ANY female with red tends to be a little nutso :?, and most red cats are male.

CALICO Three colors - black, red and cream- to be well distributed, clearly patched on a white ground. There should be distinct, predominately white areas on chest, face, legs and paws. The belly is all white, no other color permitted. Some white on the face is desirable. Eye color: brilliant orange or deep copper.
Objections: blending of colors; brindling, white hairs in colored patches; tabby markings; black feet.

TORTOISESHELL Black with patches of red and cream, well defined. Undersides lighter. Tabby markings on legs and body are a fault. A blaze is desirable. Eye color: orange or copper. In Scottish Folds, gold eye color is acceptable where orange or copper is called for, but the deeper more brilliant shades are preferred. Nose leather and paw pads: black, red, cream, or any combination of these.

PARTICOLOR/WHITE Any of the accepted particolors with white. White on one-third of the body is desirable with white legs, feet, throat and stomach. A blaze of white or white in the form of an inverted “V” on the face is desirable. Eye color: orange or copper. In Scottish Folds, gold eye color is acceptable where orange or copper is called for, but the deeper more brilliant shades are preferred. Nose leather and paw pads; as for pattern, pink, or a combination.

TORBIE Tabby cats of any accepted color tabby pattern who also have the red gene, and therefore tortie markings. These have the color distribution of the tortie of the given color pattern, and faint tabby markings of their particular tabby pattern, involving both colors. Split color on face is desirable.

TORBIE AND WHITE A Torbie as above with white on feet, legs, underside and chest. Some white on the face is desirable. Spotting of one or both of the indicative colors with tabby on the flanks, legs or feet should not be considered an objection on an otherwise outstanding specimen. Markings should be symmetrical and pleasing to the eye.

Is this our Binkster doing the smuckdown with Smudge or Smudgie instigating it? I would love to see a video of the two interacting together. I loved the pics of the kitty in my condo deciding when to poo...too funny! Binkster is having some pretty greens.

Awww poor Binks getting the spray bottle (or maybe not poor Binks if he likes it). You don't think they'll work it out.

So sweet Annie isn't a torti? I'll have to go back to yesterdays condo's. I have such difficulty just keeping up with each days. :lol:

Looking nice, Binks! And you like the spray bottle? Perhaps your bean needs a supersoaker... do they still make those?

So many colors of kitties! Will be interesting to see what you figure out!

Too funny on Binks not caring if you wet him. Checkers is the same. I use the spray to get cats off my bed to change it, and he refuses to budge; he doesn't care that he gets showered. :lol:

I didn't know all that about kitty colors. Very interesting.
Checkers is a gray and white barn cat. How fancy is that? :-D

we had a major catfight at +8.5...but seems to me he's been running this pattern a little lately...

i read all of MJ's info (thank you, MJ!)...but there was a breeder online on one of the sites i visited...so i sent her annie's pic...she says a "definitely a tortie with white"

i think it's kind of subjective...but she's really cute!

barb...checkers is GORGEOUS!...and sshhh...binks was born in a barn too!
the breeder was horrified by it...i think it's cool!

well...two days more to see if he settles into this dose...and 2 days till Hocks ships the monojects...

hope one or the other gets him back on an even track.

i realize a lot of folks would be relieved to see these kind of numbers...i'd just like to see him back to to what we were seeing for almost a month.

I'm glad Annie is a sweet as honey Tortie - it adds to her charm.

Come on Binks, Smudge isn't that bad!!! What about spraying Smudge with felaway? Are you using the rescue remedy still?

Binkster, what are you doing up there? Perhaps this is from the cat fight. Glad you figured out the colors for the girls. Maybe Binks feels he needs to control the situation. He was good with them for a few days. Just exerting his dominance? Hope you are taking care of yourself, that you Mom is doing okay and you get some rest. Have a good evening.

crappus numbers, terrible cat fights...and the tortie bugger bit through the splint right where the stitches were...

poop! this bean is going to bed, torties are sleeping in spare bedroom, and binks can have the living room.
