Woo Hoo! Looks like tonight will be his 14th cycle on the 0.25 dose!

I'd try going down to 0.1 tomorrow morning and see if he can stay in these beautiful numbers for another 7 days before trying the OTJ trial. I know you're excited to get him off insulin, but we've found that keeping them ON insulin as long as safely possible gives them the best chance at a strong remission, not necessarily a fast one.

We will start the new 0.1 dose tomorrow morning. Dana was so kind to figure out the numbers on the caliper. Thank you @DanaB I'd be lost without your help.
So now we keep this new dose for 14 cycles.
After 14 cycles, if all goes well, do we reduce it again? To what?

If his numbers stay so good, we could probably try the OTJ trial after the 7 days on 0.1. If there's still some numbers creeping higher than we'd like but still WNL, might want to try going down to a drop dose before the OTJ trial.

As with everything, it's all about the numbers!

Dana and I have to figure out that "drop" dose, if all goes well that is.

Easiest way I've heard is after you pull/push the plunger in a few times (to spread the lubricant around inside the syringe barrel), push the plunger in hard (and hold it), insert it into the insulin and just "let go". A tiny amount will be sucked up into the needle. Try it with some plain water. You can squirt the water onto a paper towel to see that there actually was water pulled in just by "letting go" from pushing the plunger.
