Yesterday was... I dunno what yesterday was.... a red day with a nice drop in the evening cycle. It was also a bounce day from all those great blues on the previous day. Last night's plunge created another bounce this morning. My poor kitty... how hard these severe bounces must be on him. I will be so glad when the bounces aren't as severe as they are right now. Overall when I look at the forest, and not all those trees, he is doing much better, is settling, and over all numbers are improving. Give him a little time and he will even things out. I hope for a good day today, maybe some nice yellow and blues today too. Right Mannie? Appy continues to be good (though a little picky this morning), LB continues to be good, ketones negative. We are on day three of the potassium supplement. I hope it is not wishful viewing on my part, but there sees to be a little improvement. YAY! Now to work on those BG's! All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D :-D No sneaking out after dark yesterday... And I really can't say that I blame him, or that he'd even want to. Rains are back here, with the winds. Just downright cold and wet. A perfect day for bed snuggling, so that is what he did. Nicholas came by a couple of times with his "HI Man-NIE!". When we were getting ready to go to the pool DGS asked me as we passed Mannie: "man-NIE food? We go?" i told him all was well and yes we could go. that got a "BYE Man-NIE!" It was cute. Mannie does see to be moving better, with only a few oopsies slips that I saw. Perhaps the meds are starting to do him some good. Sure hope so. He seems to have piked up his gait a little bit too. :cool: Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. Appy was good: he ate well. :cool: 98% Close to normalcy in MannieLand, still working on that last 2%.... :-D Com'on Meds - work!

Have a great day everyone! I am back on DGS duty for the remainder of the week. It will be a travel/river day for Nicholas - WOO HOO! Well, I hope so anyways - need to reevaluate the weather as it gets closer to 8/9AM when we would be heading out. I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody! What's up? You guys wanna hang out in the treehouse for a bit? Maybe build a fire, drink hot toddys, tell stories and stuff? A nice warm chillaxin' day. Maybe in the afternoon we could go to Maggie's beach and play on the sand, walk the boardwalk, eat in all those really great eateries. Maybe we could go rollerskating on the boardwalk. SWEET! Uh Mannie!?! You need the ropes buddy? I always worry about the toll those big bounces take on their little bodies, but somehow they don't even seem to notice. I hope he starts to even out for you. Have a great day Michelle!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) yupp, I think he needs the ropes! omg... sometimes I think he seems unaffected by these bounces, other times not too sure. Me too on the even out - that can't come soon enough. :-D

Morning Michelle, and hope Mannie breaks the bouncy. We will get the ropes if necessary, but I bet he climbs on down. That's great you are noticing some subtle changes since taking the potassium. Baby steps and improvement every day. Do you find the weather affects him in some cases? I'm trying to notice it with Mags, as she has arthritis in the one leg. Cute with Mannie and DGS and thanks on the link. I hope weather will be good for the river adventure. Have a great day. We are getting rain on Friday.

Hey Mannie, treehouse sounds great and then yay, come on over to my beach. Today will be nice and sunny. We can walk the boardwalk on down to Mission Beach. They have a roller coaster and other rides. Lots of good eateries along the way, too. I have extra sunscreen. See ya at the curb, Mags

Interesting thought on the weather - I dunno. I might have to start paying attention to that, see if there is any correlation. me too on the weather - not too sure yet, the winds have piked up alot in the last hour. :roll:

M & M--Hoping today will be the break through day & Mannie will start feeling a whole lot better & comes down to better numbers..Moonie also had a high number yesterday..she came down--
As long as you see improvement, that's all that Matters!! You Know Thy Cat & can sense changes--

Mannie, today will be a good blue day for you, I can feel it in my bones! Thank you for the excellent cappuccino. Oh boy, did it ever taste good!

Michelle, I hope he breaks this bounce this morning and settles in to some better numbers. It is good that you are noticing little changes for the good in the way Mannie is moving. The "Special K" must be beginning to work. Have a fine adventure day with Nicholas. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Hopefully once that last 2% clicks for him, he can smooth everything out .. it's nice to read that the meds seem to be working for him already .. and how cute is it that Nicholas knows the mannie routine? Got the wagon locked and loaded and ready to go! Yippee, beaches and sun and warm fire in the treehouse...how fun.

And the Bean loves her cheery apple tea....she kept sniffing it and saying mmmmmm all morning long!

Now, get your beegees in tow so we can have fun. If you want to go on the rollercoaster, you can, but my bean says your beegees can't they must sit on the bench ok....remember, no rollercoaster for me, you all can put your things in my wagon and I'll wait in the sand for you.

I'm happy to hear that the meds are helping Mannie to feel better. Mannie, you need to come down from there... You are up awfully high, buddy. Zeus was up there earlier today, he told me there wasn't much to see.

That's great that you can see small improvements in Mannie. It will take time, but every improvement is a good step. I hope Mannie slid down for you today.

Mannie, your bean wanted a permission slip for a travel day, but just for a few hours! Impressive bounce, but it was inevitable after that primo diving demonstration last night. How about a slow slide to blues instead tonight?

I hope you got out and about today Michelle. I did a strips run down to Bellingham and it was sunny and warm(ish), around 50. You could almost see the early signs of springs. Bulbs are popping, grass is looking a little greener in the farmers fields. It was a great day for a travel day.

512 @ PMPS. aiyee on today. So So frustrating. and so so inevitable... haven't the cliff diving plunge last night, I knew what I'd see today. Knowing doesn't make it any easier. Poor Mr Liver just couldn't handle a major dive and three days with blue in it... So.... We start a new again,. hope for better days, consider a dosecrease once he clears this bounce. It's OK Mannie, tomorrow will be better. :-D

Nicholas and I did make it to a river today - the Skykomish off of HWY 2. We had a really good time. We visited the river in two spots. The last one was closer to the Mountain pass and there was snow there. That was fun! All in all a very fine day for both of us. Gorgeous scenery, some sun, and a river that was spectacular. :-D :cool:

Thanks Wendy, Carla, Kathie, Michelle, Hillary, Liz, Anne, Devon, Ella, and Roni for checking up on Mannie while Nicholas and I took off to play. Mannie had an OK day today, Appy was very pick this morning, it took a few cans for him to give me his approval. Things were better this evening, only one can, and CPC status was restored. :-D I ma beginning to wonder if the Potassium stuff upsets his tummy some. I did have to feed him last night to try and control that mega dive and the pickiness started after he got his meds. we will see how it goes tonight, and should that continue I will call the vet to see what I can do to deal with it. Other than that he has been up and about,wanting to go outside, greeting all when we come home. Despite the high BG's it has been an OK day for him.
Roni - so agreed on the improvement.
Ella - THX - so do i... not to be though, maybe tonight. Thank you for the thoughts and the vines. The weather did - a gorgeous day on the river! :-D
Devon - nicholas knows the routine better than I!

Carla - yes, so true on the time. The improvements are there, small, but there.
Wendy - Yes, we did get out. I almost went to Bellingham - but chose the Skykomish River off of HWY 2 instead. So so beautiful out there by the river. Te mtns near the pass were so pretty! You are so right - it was a great travel day!!

Maui - Locked and loaded!! I LOVE THAT! I know on the beegees... I sure am trying. heeheehee on the roller coaster. Ok, you can watch, but maybe try once?It is funs!!
