Morning LL!! What an evening with Miss Moonie--Just as I was about to shoot her last night, she decided to leap off the cat napper & ran behind the couch-(glad she didnt hurt herself!-Her last nite +12~94 which is low for Moonie--but I have shot that before.
She has been doing great on 0.75, but numbers were hard to bring up when she goes low because she refuses to eat! --I dont mind the low, but when I have to fight her & food syringe her to eat, It becomes a problem!!--Her ears are pretty sore too, and some spots seem too tough to get blood anymore, after all, almost 3 yrs!!
Then I took a drop off her dose & she still was running low, as I knew we were going to be out late last night!
But Alas, Off she went Shotless cat(2)_steam --
OK so we are starting a new regime, and starting at 0.5U as her shed should be empty now & let's see where this goes..
She has done this before, been on 0.75, I went away for 3 days & dropped the dose to 0.5 & she did well on that when I got home for a long while.
Thanks to everyone who jumped in to help me yesterday, I love My LL family here!!
Have a beautiful Super Bowl sunday--I'll be monitoring her today!!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you all!! Hope you had a good time last night! That is so funny that Moonie jumped away form the syringe...she knew you were going out for the night. My goodness...reminds me of Raja trying to get away from her shot twice each day! :lol: Good luck today...she is a character!! Hope you are feeling better... hugs! :YMHUG:

Sorry about the furshot but like you said it may end up being a good thing. Hope this dose is easier on her and has her surfing the greens nicely. Good luck Roni!

The new dose sounds like a PLAN! Good luck with it! Hope you had a good time last night. Moonie did her part!!!
Maybe a few fewer pokes today to rest her ears while she refills her shed.

Have a good Superbowl. Are you going to watch it? (it's the only football game I watch; I save myself for baseball!)

Good luck w/ the .5u this time around. We just have to keep trying until it works. Have a good Sunday, Super Bowl watching or not.

Good luck Roni with the new dose, as I know yesterday Moonie was really on a roll! Glad you were able to get out last evening. Ha, ha, boy the truth comes out with all the meters and you have 6! I was referring to your post to my condo. Have a nice Super Bowl Sunday, and we'll stay tuned to see what Moonie will be up to today! Hope it's a nice surf!

This girl is on a Mission!! Look at her go with No shed & a dose crease!!--Reduced her to 0.5U & It's WORKING!!!! :o :o :mrgreen: :mrgreen: I am as shocked as you are--Now let's see her hold it!!
Her ears are getting harder to get blood out, I used neosporin + some vaseline for lubricate--Hope to soften those ears--She was a good girl, just turned once on her trek to the test place thinking of running away, but i put my leg in front of her!!! Escape thwarted!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
Should be an interesting day--Can she hold this decrease?? We'll see :shock:

OMG!!! What is going on here??? Did 2 tests--she ate a bit of lc about 15-20 min before I tested--
Now she wont eat any LC or HC at all...Can this still be happening even after dose reduction?
Is 0.5 too much for her? What the heck is going on here???
Could her pancreas be working after all this time?
I;m truly shocked by all this! Any suggestions??

Sorry I had a breakdown there!!! This all happened so suddenly, it just threw me-
I let her be and eat when she wants & she came up to +6~62.
The problem with all this is when Moonie doesnt eat--It drives me nuts & I hate to force feed her.
So I am going to see how she does on here own today...Left out food for her & am watching her numbers.
Even the HC she occassionally likes, sometimes she doesnt eat & I get very frustrated.

So. i will see what happens in the next hour or so & see what she will do..

I hardly ever have one..She is surfing nicely right now..I'm leaving her be..

Look at her go! wow - would not have expected that after the missed shot, and the reduction. some residual shed action?

Looks like Moonie is getting tired of all these pokes and the ole pancrease is starting to work. Very strange and with a dosecrease.

And she ate right after I tested her--OK so I opened 5 diff. cans of food today!
So I'm going bankrupt from paying the pet store tons for all the cat food flavor buying attempts to feed these babies!

Oh Roni, I so understand your frustration about the eating. I have to stand on my head and do tricks to get Checkers to eat, if he isn't hungry. Yesterday I decided to not try to make him eat the morning mini meals, and he took a dive on me at +2 today. Funny thing is, I was just dishing up his +2, and putting chicken dust on it to entice him.

What a fantastic day Moonie is having. I'm so happy for you, Roni. :-D

I know what you mean about opening so many cans and going bankrupt. A lot of mine go down the garbage disposal. Maggie will sometimes just slurp up the juice and leave the bulk :roll: Amazing cycle of numbers for Moonie! The employees at the pet stores get to know me as I'm there so often.

This looks good tonite, but I found some vomit in her catnapper-from earlier today.. :YMSIGH:
She didnt eat tonite's dinner yet, but did beg at the table & ate a few bits of our chicken..So I know she still has an appetite--I crushed 2 temptations into dinner food--Hope she'll eat soon.
Hope she surfs tonite & we have a peaceful night. Doubtful,but I'm hopeful... ;-)

Very very nice +4-- Now I can go to sleep feeling Good!!--I am crushing 2 temptations on the food & it is working so far!--Hope she continues to do well & I keep my sanity :roll: :roll: :roll:

I actually really enjoyed the Peas show (except the red heart dancie people.. they creeped me out a little!). It's just the "time of my life" song that makes me cringe every time I hear it... is nothing sacred?!?

Farro is a wheat berry... it's a whole grain that has a texture very similar to brown rice, but a bit chewier and with a nuttier flavor, that holds up to sauce better. I just throw it in the rice cooker and it comes out great! I'm doing a combination of South Beach Diet and Weight Watchers right now (90% south beach, with points to keep me accountable when I break the SB rules!), so I'm trying to eat a lot of whole grains, and have been trying different ones to keep things interesting... there is only so much brown rice and whole wheat bread a gal can eat! :)
