WCR; Breakfast eaten. Played hard early morning. More eaten. Watching little brother playing now.
Everybody was up early today, so tested at +11.
Posted amps number was actually an hour after eating.

Nice AMPS for Checkers...but if that's what he is an hour after eating, then what will he be when the food spike wears off?

Ummm Pat, about that food spike? I didn't think it would wear off so soon.

He turned up his nose at food at +1, but he wasn't going to get away with it at +2.
So got his mini ready, but tested first and YIKES...33 already. Here we go again.
Dosecrease tonight!!

Darn darn darn, When I bought the new Micro on Fri, I bought a 50 pack of strips, without thinking. I have an order coming of different strips, but not gonna get here today, obviously.
Now I have to get his numbers up, and run back to Walmart for more. I probably have around 30.

And my back's been bad again, for a couple of days.

Can this day get any better? *sigh*

I always hated playing that waiting game when ordering strips online...sometimes cutting it pretty close myself.

Sorry to hear your back is bothering you again. I hope Checkers will start surfing a little higher, you can get out for your strips, and then relax a bit. Anyone able to get out for you???

Hi Carolyn. No one to go for me. In answer to your question yesterday, Checkers will be 15, in a few months.
Been giving Karo. Just gave gravy with this 99, cause it lasts longer.
Will test again in half hour.

Good luck on the strips. I order mine online too - and sometimes it's cutting it close... I fear those days when one is low on strips, and the kitty is in dive mode, and will I have enough... :?

I HATE this Micro. If I ever get out today, I'm going to get another meter. I was looking upside down and saw 99.
When I just put in a strip to test again, I discovered my mistaked; it was 66.
Now he's up to 97. One more good test and I can leave.
This meter doesn't show the date and time on the same screen as the bg number. You have to wait while it scrolls to each one. date......time...etc.
Gonna get the Confirm. It uses the same strips, and has date, time, bg numbers all at the same time.

I purchased the Confirm. So far, I like it. The controls are on the side, easy to do, while holding it in hand.
Time and date on screen with BG numbers. Nice big numbers, but it doesn't appear to be lighted. Minor detail. It takes the same strips as the Micro, yay.
And it's pink. :-D

Now if only someone would make syringes with quarter unit markings, life would be perfect. :-D

Barb, Glad Checks came up--Moonie & her bro will be 15 in a few months, Moonie doesnt eat well & I have to stand on my head also to get her to eat, I have the worst back,neck & everything else, & Both our cats are Black & white--Strange????
This is the problem I have been having, getting her to eat when she drops--I feel so weird syringeing Karo & HC gravy down her throat!! It's just so unnatural!,, But necessary I guess, I just wish she;d eat on her own--Gee you'd think after 5 cans of different food she could pick one that tasted good?

wow guys .. what a crazy day you have had .. glad you were able to get checkers back up and I hope he doesn't zoom at pmps ... and congrats on the dose decrease! You're going to be needing some magnifying glasses to see checkers dose!

Oh boy, .25 is sooooo hard. All I can do is try to be consistent.
Devon, I already use a big lighted magnifying glass.
