Will give her today on this dose and if not better, we will say it's a failed reduction and will go up tomorrow.

Very possible should not have reduced the 7 u as the 47 she got was from the depot still being active. It's so hard with the caber to know what to do sometimes. We will be out right after shot time tonight, that's why I will wait until tomorrow.
 
It's hard enough to know what to do when you have a "standard" (yes I say that tongue in cheek :p) diabetic, but when you start adding other things (Acro, IAA, Caber, etc), it makes it even harder to know what the best course of action is. I think you made the best decision at the time to keep Olive safe. Do you have a higher reduction point in the interest of safety? Maybe she'll get her act together and get back to business with a dosecrease threat on the table. :cool:

Medications that affect the BG certainly add another dimension to it all, then add to that the acro and the swings you can see with that.... it's going to be challenging.

And pancreatitis that threw her back up to 8.25 units from 4.5 certainly didn't make it easier.
 
This is nuts. What is she doing now.

Just dawned on me. I have been using baby food squash instead of pumpkin the last couple of days. Could that cause these bit of higher numbers?

I used it in the past with Smokey and no problems. I thought it was okay but maybe it's to high in natural sugar for Olive.

I'm surprised she eats squash! ...but that would make sense if it's higher in carbs. Maybe just go back to pumpkin for a day and see if that brings her numbers down at all.

Natural squash isn't suppose to have carbs. I was out of pumpkin that's why I used the squash. I won't use it tonight and see what happens.
 
Should have known with the flat yellow and the high before the low. She's throwing it all at the same time. Forget the sharks, she is deep sea diving!!!!

32/34= maple syrup and 19% gravy. It's going to be a long night. Who's with me for company? Big reducie tomorrow, guess she's over the p'titis.

+5=48=19% gravy
+5.5=49=19%+maple syrup
+6=68= no boosting
+7=80
