Hi Everyone,
I'm only about 12 hours late in posting today. Refrigerator issues!! We left for Plattsburgh early this morning, found a nice compact 'fridge at Lowe's for a good price, found that we couldn't put it upright into our SUV, so will have to wait 48 hours before we can plug it in (the oil in the compressor needs to re-settle after the 'fridge had been on its side and it takes that long). Then we had to throw out stuff that would spoil (stuff that had been in the freezer section for years--a good thing to have to clean it out), put everything else into coolers, go to the landfill, get a friend to help us carry the new small 'fridge into the basement, etc. etc. Poor Rusty didn't know what to make of it all. So now we have a "freezer" on our front porch (it never got above 14 degrees today), a 'fridge in our 50-degree mud room (all the food in coolers with cold blocks) and a curious cat.
Rusty had a good day with good appetite. His numbers may be an indication that he was not ready for a shave of a drop, so I may take him up to his old dose tomorrow. I don't want him to lose momentum. We scheduled him for a chest x-ray for next Tuesday; the vet wants to see if there is anything there that impedes his breathing (he has chronic upper-respiratory congestion that she thinks has gotten worse since October). Still no clue as to why he has lost weight--about 3/4 pound since October--and she may schedule an appointment with an IM vet. All of his blood tests and urine tests are good. I didn't even know there was an IM vet in this area!
Off to PMPS and to make dinner. I will try to return later, but may just veg out. Hope that all is well in LL and wishing everyone a fine evening.
