Rocket & his Mom

morning all,
things are so so here....last night he stayed out of the tub for most of the night...going back in there after midnight...
his lack of appetite since the bupe started is really draining me...as i need to make sure i offer him whatever food he'll eat...carb, no carb, high phos, low phos....he eats micro meals...but he sure loves that chicken dust...will have to stock up again on it....
after i feed him at 3 am while he was in the tub...i went back to bed in the spare room and when my alarm woke me up at 4 am for his bupe dose i found him on the floor by the entrance in the spare room...i was shocked...so it is a small improvement rather than him spend 24/7 in the tub...he purr away and i rubbed his belly and he was so affectionate (the Rocket i know)...we cuddled but then 10 mins later i needed to see if he ate...and not much...then the bupe dose...he stayed out but it is as though he has an internal clock...same thing happened yesterday afternoon....his am/ps is 5:30 am/pm....yesterday about 10 mins before 5:30 pm he went back to the tub...and the same thing happened this morning...i never went to check on him...i let him be...they are very very smart indeed....
then 6 am came and it was time for his pheno...he ate some more...but decided he wanted lots of chicken dust...i did find him 45 mins later in the litter box in his meatloaf position...but then i got him out of there and took him to the futon and he slept like a baby for about 1 hr...after that he went back to the tub...
very small improvements and i will take what he gives me...
today would have been (if i'm not mistaken) his otj party for a second time...being without insulin 14 days...but i know that won't be the case once he starts the pred...
oh how i wished things would have turned out so different for us here...but i do admire him for being so brave...
