Yesterday's Condo

Good Morning everyone!

So glad to be back to my self this morning! Little did I know yesterday was going to be kinda awful! We'd gotten the 2nd of two Moderna COVID-19 vaccines the day previously and of course everyone reacts differently. I was sick for the entire day! Fever, chills and body aches, and just felt plain awful. It was a back to bed all day kind of day...ugh...I thought most people reacted sooner so was feeling lucky yesterday morning that I'd gone nearly 24 hours without a reaction - unfortuantely for me it as almost exactly at the 24 hour mark that it hit me!

DH started to feel better sooner than I did and he helped with Luci. I could barely get up to set up her insulin last night...but we managed!

Luci appears to have the zoomies this morning and is in fine form! This girl - she is full of surprises!

Oh Sue, thanks for the warning about the day after - or two days after. I'm getting my second Moderna vaccine next week. The first vaccine just left me with a very sore arm the morning after.
It turned out nice that your DH could help wrangle little Miss Luci!!

Has Luci gained any weight since her I-131 treatment? Or has she calmed down some? I noticed quite a difference afterward. However, Tina became a diabetic a few months after treatment. I still think hers may have been related to some steroid treatment.

Hi Sue, happy to hear you are feeling better. Happy to hear Luci had the zoomies. Doesn’t happen very often now but when Dolly leaps in the air followed by a zoomie, it brings smiles to my face and happiness to my heart. Hope you had a wonderful day and are having a nice relaxing evening. :):cat: I don’t know if I mentioned it to you in any of my pm’s that Dolly has an appointment on Sunday to discuss X-rays or if he thinks a CT Scan would be better. :):)

She has gained a bit. I think at least a pound. I'll have a more accurate weight when she goes to the vet on Thursday for her first follow post-procedure. They need to draw labs to assess the impact - she sure is eating well...and she's got a thick shiny coat on her...and she feels heavy to me now - not like that sack of bones she was before the procedure. Now if we could just get these BG numbers to follow along and drop back to a more pre-thyroid issues days we'd be in pretty good shape.
