How’s the intestinal issues? Back on cerenia? Looks like you gave it only once and he’s better. :)
 
Hi Elise! I do believe he has nausea sometimes and one dose of cerenia usually gets him back on track for that. I think his pattern of meowing and vomiting during a BM every now and then is a different thing altogether. My best guess is it has something to do with his anal glands being removed years ago due to chronic infections ( as well as some other things i wont go into). This doesnt happen every litterbox visit, but im keeping an eye on it seperate from his diabetes issues.

@tiffmaxee if you have the time to gut check me… it seems like Landos numbers are still a bit higher than normal. He is now on .25 u and i have been scared to increase again since he has been acting so “normal” on .25 . I am afraid of starting the rollercoaster again. Do you think his numbers are detrimental to his health. I am weighing coasting on .25 vs. increasing and plunking him into solid normal numbers.
No rush to reply and btw happy to hear anyone else’s opinion also
 
I do think an increase is needed. His numbers right now are likely under renal threshold but if he stays there he’s going to get used to higher and higher numbers possibly. I was going to suggest it yesterday but was thinking perhaps he was having pancreas with the nausea. Hopefully the increase will get him back to being under 100. Good luck.
